I think I need to keep waiting...? No one's going right up to Starg to get his attention, correct? Just some vague drifting towards him. He's not particularly observant right now.

I thought the other group had, which was why Kal was delaying. If they're not, then Kal's group can approach first.
Either way, I think we all need to accept that there should be an hour or two delay between one group talking to Starg and the other. If he's being watched, it'd be too obvious, otherwise.

Yeah, I thought Shorak had announced he was going up to Starg.

Shorak has no problem with sharing the events of the day, he just figured Belarin would be better suited to telling the tale. Besides, he's feeling a bit introspective at the moment. I think that's the right word.

For ease of economics, do you guys want me to just pool all the gold piece amounts everyone's receiving? I can just keep that total in my signature. There will come a time when you may wish to use some of this gold before leaving Stormreach...
I can keep Shorak's separate until you feel, in-game, that the others would share freely with him (and vice versa).

That's fine with me, although Kal is probably going to ask for more money from Deneith and is going to need to start flashing some cash around to hopefully draw attention from the Coin Lords.

FYI, if anyone needs to draw upon any of Shorak's knowledge as a former Stormreacher, just say so. I'll be playing the part of David Bean in his absence. ;D

Darren, I believe Condign, Shorak and Adamant are in the room across from you. In your room is (I think) you, Streko, Belarin and Shem.

Okay, no Rinti. Everyone else (PCs and Sem) can potentially be a part of this conversation. So I need to wait and see if Streko consents? I'd think it's up to Kal if he wishes to share the information. But I'll wait. I'd post the map again, but my original Photoshop file for it is in my laptop, which is in a computer shop right now, hopefully to be repaired soon.

I don't necessarily think we need to wait for Streko to consent. I mean, he is physically holding the scroll case, but unless Joe has any real objection, I'd say we can move forward.

Not at all. Streko would be happy to return the scroll to Kal...but ONLY to Kal.

I'm fairly sure Larest was specifically excluded from Kal's note and rod and the whole dragon thing.

True. That conversation took place in the room with Streko, Sem and Belarin (and Shorak?). But it was in a separate room and Larest was not included.

Sorry, my bad. Just ignore that post. But it seemed we'd come to a standstill on the gameplay and I simply wanted to get things going again.

I meant this same day. I think when we first started talking about it, we intended to have Kal and Nerrin meet up in the common room of wherever we were staying as a way to explain why they were in the same place, anyway. And we've kind of already planted the seeds of that. And there will probably be a ton to do the following day, so why not use whatever time we've got while we've got it, right?

Sounds right to me. In character, Belarin is feeling pretty beaten up (as is Kal, probably), but having a show in the common room -- especially as a follow-up to the scene in the waiting area -- still makes good sense.

Adamant would again be present as Nerrin's bodyguard. Redoubt, with the task of ensuring that no strangers interrupted the "negotiation." Condign might have a similar role on Kal's behalf. Shorak ideally would be off in a corner somewhere, as perhaps would Sem, quietly keeping an eye open to see who was paying the most attention. Shorak would have the follow-up task of shadowing Nerrin when he recklessly walks off alone that night and making sure that the subsequent mugging of Nerrin isn't fatal.

That all sounds good to me. Streko could probably be seen with Kal as much as possible so that word hopefully gets back to the Coin Lords about both of them.

Indeed, Streko would probably be following Kal around like a puppy. In his eyes, this IS Kal's destiny and he's just a player in the game.
Although, it might be important to point out that both Kal and Streko are tettering below 25% strength. If something DOES happen, neither will last long in a fight.

I don't think we should even leave the common room. We're just trying to be seen in public with Nerrin talking about the map.
Also, Jeff, since we've been sitting and talking for a while, can Kal and Streko use some Healing Surges?

No, this is definitely NOT a combat situation, Joe. We're all beaten up, and even though "Team B" is technically healthy, we're tired, and out of most (if not all) of our Daily powers. Kal and Belarin will stage a "Here's this great thing! / It's crap. I'll give you twenty quatloos for it. // Bull! It's worth two hundred quatloos!" type of discussion for the benefit of the rabble -- and presumably any interested parties who followed any of our groups during the day. Kal could try to lower Nerrin's price by hinting at the Coin Lords' meeting. Nerrin will try to raise his price by dropping a "softly spoken" but very distinct name of a geographical oddity on his map. They'll agree to disagree but keep the door open for more negotiation the next day. Sound good to you, Darren? Afterward, as per the original plan, Nerrin will wander off "by himself" that evening -- map obviously in his possession -- and hopefully get mugged by someone who wants the valuable item. That's where Shorak comes in. He'll be there to help Belarin stay alive and get away from the scene of the crime. Adamant (as Redoubt) could be wandering a few blocks aways, "searching" for his dumb employer. How does that sound, Dave B and Dave W?

And Darren, I can answer your question to Jeff: Yes, Kal and Streko can use as many healing surges as they want while we're out of combat. The number is up to you guys.

That all sounds good to me. Shorak will be glad to tail the absent-minded Nerrin and pull his ass out of the fire. Pun intended.

Thanks for the map info linking, Ken. I may have a couple more questions about it. Actually, you had two maps described, but isn't Belarin making only one now?

The plan sounds good, Ken, except maybe for the getting mugged part, now. If Belarin wants to try to get the attention of the Coin Lords, wouldn't losing the map be a problem? It might be better to hold onto it until after the following night.
