Sorry, I never remember that! Although that implication is strong, strictly speaking the teleportation kicks in when the monster reaches 0 hit points or fewer. That doesn't always have to mean death. That's a DM's purview type of thing. Like, say, with trolls who dont "die" at 0. But in te very least, you'll know it if a cursed enemy is faking it.

Ah, that's right - I forgot that the triggering factor isn't death but "0 hit points or fewer," which isn't as cut and dry die as Belarin or I would like. Thanks.

Which window? Not good. Yeah, it was a just a thought... I'm not sure how much further to the first floor and the door.

Did anyone else see the Team C map and think, "Quick, cut the rope ladder!!"
Oh, just me then...

New combat post for Team B: Yay! New combat post for Team B: Yikes! I'm more focused on stopping the two ground-level threats than go after the snipers, since a) it's usually a good idea to focus attacks in 4e, and b) the snipers are standing on the roof of a burning building. That said... Jeff, how far is Belarin from the fallen (but not dead) archer and how far is he from the roof of Shorak's building, or essentially how tall is the building?

The archer fell on the west side of the building. Now Belarin's on the south side and kind of ran east. So he's a good 70 ft. away.
The roof is approximately 50 feet above street level. Let's go with that, mechanically speaking.

Jeff-I forgot to roll for both attackers in my post and any misses still take half damage. Thanks Ken for paying attention. Will modify now.

You're welcome, although a miss with blinding barrage is Dex modifier damage, not half damage. Still, better than nothing!

Turns out they seriously undermined the power of Blinding Barrage in the Compendium. I think that's BS. I'm going to keep it the way it used to be, the way it was when Dave chose it.

Nice posts, Darren. Kal is brilliantly using subtlety while Belarin is being peppered with flaming arrows. My universe is upside-down!

" Belarin! Shorak! Are you alright?" Oops. I thought about modifying this (I did modify it for spelling) but I think Adamant's been through enough to allow him a slip. Interestingly, I wonder if either Belarin or Shorak were undazed enough to catch it.

I'm digging the historical discussion over with Team B.

I don't know Brian, this Ajdalarr seems like a feisty woman. I think Condign should never give her up, never let her down, never run around and desert her, never make her cry, never say goodbye, never tell a lie and hurt her.

First off, bravo, Dave, for attempting to Rick-roll us. (Next time, Dave, you need to include the link to the video!)
Brian, Condign should've brought a box of chocolates, or the tiefling equivalent, which is probably the heart of a dire bear.

I like how chipper Adamant is compared to Belarin right now. It's like Adamant is used to people trying to blow him up.

Actually after the tenseness of the fight, when the innkeeper made a small joke, it made me smile so I guess I made Adamant happy.

Oopsie. That's twice in the past hour that I've done a headsmack over a memory lapse. I'll edit my post. Thanks for the info, Jeff. Yeah, I had been wondering if this establishment would fit in perfectly. All part of the, um, Master Plan.
