Right up front...
I'm going to need you guys to be very specific about your actions from here on out. You've made some plans about roles to play and identities to use; I've only half-followed all that, so please, in your posts, be clear on what you're doing, saying, and acting like. Don't assume I'll just implement what you've discussed in the discussions thread. I can't stress that enough. Or it will fall apart.
So in the main thread, tell me what the "teams" are and how you intend to go about things, and who's going to look like what.
That said, Darren, I appreciate the detailed description of Kal's appearance and manner. If you're playing up an act at some point, be explicit.
The bottom line: don't tell me intent; tell me action.
Thanks.

Wait....you didn't tell us that this where I get to ask for maps, and I was just about to do that. Don't assume that I know where we are unless I have a map.

The thing is, hand....or, I'm sorry...is it....Mr. Hand? Anyway, Mr. Hand, if you could maybe head over that way, over by the keyboard there? and draw up a map? That'd be swell....

So would you like every inch of Stormreach mapped out? 'Cause I've got all the time in the world to indulge you, Mr. Let's See How Much Longer Kal Will Survive.

Okay, let me get this straight.
Away Team 1: Belarin, Shorak and Adamant
Away Team 2: Kal, Streko and Condign
Red Shirt Away Team: Larest, Sem, Starg and Histra?

Sorry, something just came to me in a flash and it took longer to modify the post. Adamant is a little giddy at being in disguise and it occured to me he might like a cover name too...

Jeff, what would the Eberron equivalent of "Mister" be? Nerrin certainly isn't a lord, but any hirelings of his would be expected to use some formality in public.

"Master" would be the default formal title to use.

So, all right. We've got two groups now. It'll slow things down a little, but I agree it's a good play and I'd like to roll with it. To make this easier on everyone, it would help to be clear at any given time which group we're talking about.
Please put Team K and Team B (or something like it) in bold "lime green" at the top of each of your posts so long as you're with said team. I will do the same, and in fact I'll probably keep posts for each group separate posts.
If at anytime you go off alone somewhere, leave the group header out.
This would help a lot. Thanks.

B for "bombastic," and K for "Kardashian-like." What else?

Hey Ken, your last post confused me a little. Are giving Shorak money to pay the longshoreman for Nerrin?

Hey Ken, your last post confused me a little. Are giving Shorak money to pay the longshoreman for Nerrin? I think Nerrin thinks it's beneath him to personally hand money over to longshoremen... Actually as his bodyguard, Redoubt approves; minimize physical contact with potentially disreputable people. If Shorak gets grabbed and stabbed that's better than if it happens to the client...

Geez, Joe, what's gotten into Streko? Accusing Condign of being on the make and verbally dropkicking the street urchin! Somebody give that halfling a hug.

He's a bit heady....after all, the ground beneath him ISN'T moving. I almost considering him projectile vomiting all over the urchin...but thought better of it, as some of the detritus would almost definitely have landed on Kal...and that wouldn't do at all. ;D

Jeff, I'm a bit confused about the last exchange (see highlighted sentences):
So is the guard telling Shorak to go get the warforged's hammer? Why is he then pointing to Belarin, and is Adamant really the one retrieving the warhammer?

Right. The guard is prodding Shorak, essentially getting the attention of Belarin's whole group. But he's speaking to Belarin directly, and the warforged is handing his warhammer over to Adamant, who as bodyguard is likely the closest to him.
Sorry for the confusion!

Intimidate = Try to get someone to do something by scaring the piss out of them with "compelling" words or manner. Not just express anger.Sorry, that wasn't meant to be taken as a literal intimidate check.. Just trying to be funny... I guess on the theory if I keep trying to be funny it might work out that way one day ...

You know, Darren. I'm practically spoon-feeding Kal the opportunity to overact his part. (Well, maybe spoon-feeding isn't the best analogy. )
