While I'm waiting for Team B's next combat recap, I'll echo Darren's question:
Who DOES have the stuff from the undersea chest? Are they in Streko's backpack, too? Joe?

While I'm waiting for Team B's next combat recap... I apologize. I actually completely missed Dave W.'s post. I was waiting for him. I'll get on it as soon as I can.

Ken: Yep, minor action to get the candle out. Need to make any edits before I get to the next round?

I was never anywhere close to the chest and I honestly don't recallwhere all the stuff went. Then again, at the moment, my head is so stuffed that I can barely breathe or keep my eyes open, let alone think.

Jeff, I hate to ask, but since everyone seems stumped....what was in the chest? And who has it?

C'mon, guys. I need a little help doing some of the work, you know? The Synopsis In Links thread, while not something I update as often as I wish I could, is an easy start to finding stuff like this: ashlock.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=gameplay&thread=216&page=17#16995The frozen whetstone is in Adamant's inventory. It's a level 7, one-use item, and can be sold for 50 gp. Streko has the vagabond's die. It's a level 8 item sell-able for 1, 700 gp. Streko also has a suppression crystal. A level 4 one-use item sell-able for 20 gp. There were a few elixirs. Shorak has two of them, a lesser elixir of invisibility (level 7) and an elixir of accuracy (level 8). There's also the eternal chalk, which was given to Starg. Then the Cyran scroll, which Adamant has. Shorak has the mysterious "puzzle box." That took me a while to round up. I probably won't get to update the next combat round until tomorrow now.

Sorry, Jeff. I should've looked that up. As for Belarin's last post, nope, I'll keep it as is, i.e., use the minor action to put warlock's curse on the imp.

Sorry, Jeff. I wasn't trying to put all of the work on you. I asked everyone who had what and got no response, so it was my assumption that no one knew.

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to see all the posts until just now. If I wasn't so busy at work, I would have responded with the items Shorak has from the chest.

And for the record, Streko wasn't about to give that GLORIOUS die away...or even sell it. Now, as to the Supression Crystal...Streko will have to think about that one.

I can't wait until we all meet up again. "So, what did you guys do while we were apart?" "Oh, not much. Just killed an ettin. You know how it is. You guys?" "Eh. We burned down Shorak's apartment. No big deal."

Jeff, a couple of questions about logistics/layout, if I may:
How far above the street is Belarin? I'm guessing it's possible to climb down (perhaps down the statue), but it would take time and he'd be easy pickings for the archer outside.
He could jump down, and his ring would reduce the impact. I'm just trying to put rules out of my head ("Oh, 3d6 damage? He could survive that!") and be realistic about it, or at least realistic for Belarin ("Look at that drop! What am I, crazy?! Oh that's right, I am!").
Lastly, how far is the archer from Belarin's spot at the window? Thanks.

No prob. Unfortunately, I don't have time to work out the map thoroughly, but here's some info. We may have to do this "theatre of the mind"-like.
The height is between 20 and 30 feet up. I'd say 2d10 damage if Belarin were to fall.
The giant head would be difficult to reach. It's a bit north beyond the window. Not something Belarin could jump to.
The archer is approx. 60 feet away. And he hasn't obviously noticed Belarin. Yet.

Besides, this'll put me in a good frame of mind for running a playtest of That Which Shall Not Be Named in Public for Dave W and a couple of other pals during our annual Connecticut gaming weekend. Thanks for the info. One more thing (as Columbo would say): Belarin is wrapped in shadow right now. How noticeable would a big patch of shadow be as it quickly dropped to the ground? Silly question, I know. It would depend on a) sunlight facing the building, b) how badly Belarin lands, and c) whether he lands on someone. ;D I dig the opportunity to do the three-dimensional, abstract, pseudo-swashbuckling stuff. It's a key, fun part of Eberron and of 4E.

Here's a burning question, Adamant gets a +2 to saves vs ongoing effects, so if he's slowed and poisoned one is ongoing the other isn't. • should I roll once for each effect? • roll once but only apply the mod to the poison ( so on a 9 roll, the poison ends but the slow doesn't)? • roll once apply the mod to both? • something I haven't thought of?

Excellent question! I did some digging on the WotC forums, since I knew this question must have popped up before. And it has. See this post quoting a response from a WotC CSR. While our esteemed DM is the final arbiter, it would seem -- based on the example cited -- that Adamant still makes just one save against both of the imp-imposed conditions, with his +2 modifier. Success would negate both.

Dave W: The single saving throw with the +2 is fine with me. Ken: I await Belarin's actions, then.

Thanks for clearing that up Jeff... Next burning question... Shorak curses in drow when he sees the sealed door. He quickly moves to the closest apartment door. "Redoubt! The front door has been sealed. Find a window and try to get out that way!" I know we can't account for whatever is sealing the door, but how substantial did the door seem when we came in? Does Adamant think that if he were to run full tilt at it and hit it with his shoulder the door would give? I can't seem to find my bend bars/lift gates percentage...

I am certainly okay with Condign going his own way. It just requires patience on everyone's part, because split three ways, it'll take longer for me to get to everyone. So bear with me.
Also, Brian: do you want Condign's adventure to be in your private area, or would Condign likely just tell everyone everything that happens (and therefore letting everyone else see it makes that easier to explain)?

He's not planning on keeping anything secret--I simply don't know what he's going to run into. But keeping it in the public thread will make it easier on everyone when it comes time to rejoin the group.

Thanks, Jeff. Regarding the new update, one of the interesting side effects of warlock's curse is that Belarin would know whether or not a cursed enemy (e.g. the archer) has died, as it would trigger his ability to teleport. I'm not sure if it'll matter in my next post, but it's knowledge he'd have. (You can let me know privately if you'd like.)
