Hah! Awesome, Mike. How do you like being callled one of the "brightest writers of the new edition"? "Mike and 4E, sitting in a tree...." Hee hee....

That phrase drips with so much irony, on so many levels. A story for another time.

I had a good idea for a dragonborn 4E character at one point. I think Jeff and I even discussed it. Of course, now I can't really remember anything about him....

Two quick things, both related ... 1) I have a new website, www.emeraldlich.com. It's a place where I post about gaming and writing. It's also (hopefully) going to be a place with a lot of gaming and writing content, so you're all invited to check it out in the weeks and months to come. 2) The guy who designed the site was one Mr. Joshua Wentz. He did a freaking fantastic job. I can't thank him enough for the tremendous job he did making my incredibly rough ideas into reality.

Been waiting for that to go live, Mike! I'll be changing the link on my Friends page accordingly!

Grudgingly, yes. Not because I'm against the concept (I'm not), nor the pricing (I think it's fair enough). For me, it's a personal issue. I feel I've given WotC far more of my money and time over the years than I'll ever expect to get back. But as a rule, I'll probably be buying more digital products than physical books from here on.
But although WotC's communication skills leave a lot to be desired, I still like some of their work and want it to go on.
But I might complain quietly along the way.

Yeah, I feel the same way. If I was willing to pay for Dragon and Dungeon in print, then I should be willing to pay for similiar high-quality content on the Web, whether it's from One Zero Games or WotC.

All paid up.
I'll see how it goes in terms of content. If it hasn't substantially improved in 3 months, I won't renew.

Given that this game is my only involvement with D&D, and I feel somewhat taken when I even go to buy (yet another) book, I think I'll just continue to get my information from Jeff.

Yes, but still....how many times can I buy (essentially) the same book before I start to feel foolish?

Well, I've purchased over twenty copies of my own book to send to folks, and I don't feel foolish at all. ;P

As the middleman of three boys, I can say that we didn't make things easy on Mom. :-)
Congratulations, Marcy! I hope motherhood is more peaceful for you that it was for my Mom (who is still the most selfless, caring person I know, despite what we did to her!).

Thanks, guys! Yeah, we're swimming in the testosterone here, LOL! But having been a girl myself (heh), I am convinced that boys are easier, so don't break out the martyr's robes for me just yet.

Hey. I know how to pick my peeps. But notice how some of the writer-types around here have been posting less often and with less wordage?

Streko is suffering from laryngitis and doesn't really have much to say anyway...although that may change soon, I fear. Why is it that halflings are always the ones to pick up the pieces? Oh, and thanks for the shout out Jeff! Much appreciated!
