Seriously, can we stop bitching about the dice roller? Melethos had some very good rolls, both for attacks and damage. And Jeff's rolls for the creature were a 2 and a 3. Poor rolls happen, as do exceptionally good ones.

Yup. It's been generally nice to Belarin. Bad rolls happen.

I think as soon as the Congress is done with Zuckerberg and FB, they need to investigate Rolz...

Yeah, but like those it probably won't amount to anything and then Rolz will get away with murder (maybe literally).

I’m here to plague you with more questions... addy wants to get next to Melethos... he’ll be in the same square as the woman, that’s not a problem right, standing over her and fighting? And if he lays hands and gets her conscious can she appear in the hex behind Addy?

And if he lays hands and gets her conscious can she appear in the hex behind Addy? Adamant can stand over her, but there could be some circumstances that this could impede him with. If the woman is healed some, she won't magically appear in another square. If she lies flat in Adamant's space, no real change. IF she tries to stand in his space, both of them will be hindered and disadvantaged on stuff.

Okay....Kal has disadvantage for the insect's cover, which Kal negates with spell sniper, and then another disadvantage for the insect being prone, but Kal might have advantage for being hidden, so overall it might be a net wash. Either way, I made two rolls. They are 23 and 19, so I assume one of them hits.
Damage is only 4 because, y'know, the dice roller giveth and the dice roller taketh away..... Darren, I think I have to insist that Kal move to another location to even attempt a ranged attack. Yes, mechanically his feat allows him to ignore the three-quarters cover afforded by the foliage. But he's also got about 5 allies staggered in a line between him and the creature. It's just overkill, and is effectively full cover (which wouldn't allow you to target at all). Just a DM judgement here. Yes, moving means giving up being hidden, but you can still use that first roll you made (of 23). Just pick a spot with a clearer line of sight than where you are now. Also, any commends to Tangat?

That's fair. Kal will move 30' north. And Tangat can just stick by his side.

That's still keeping three people in Kal's path. If you go eastward, that would help.
Joe: Are you posting or what?

It's hard to see on my phone. I'm not too concerned with where he ends up. Whichever spot works is good with me.
I think 25' east and 5' north?

Yes, on melee attacks. The creature is still prone, though it also still has its high AC and +2 cover from the foliage.

Thul finds himself hacking through a ridiculous amount of foliage, thwarting his every strike. "Fek this shit." _______ Out of 4 rolls, the highest was a 6. Didn't even bother rolling damage.DICE ROLLER!!!!!!!!!

Don't wanna screw myself, Jeff, but I did roll for damage and it was a 4. Not sure where the 9 came from unless it's got some weakness to fire...?

Belarin is taking the Ready action, so in this case Shorak's action won't really affect what he does. Belarin readies his dagger to attack any creature that emerges, either eldritch blast if ranged or melee attack otherwise. Not that it will likely matter in this situation, but I'm not actually sure, when taking a Readied action, you can ready more than one, or have more than one trigger. That is, I think you have to commit to one thing: ranged spell attack if a creature moves into range or melee attack if a creature somehow becomes adjacent to him without having moved into range first. But not both. Otherwise it opens up the Ready action to a big list of contingencies. That said, the trigger can sometimes be vague, and that's okay. "If something I think may be hostile appears within my view, I'll cast X."

Have to wait since Streko's up before Kal. Since Joe didn't post last night, I guess we're all waiting another 24 hours?
FYI, to anyone: If reading/keeping up/posting is a chore, let me know. Nice post. Definitely feeling the love. No sarcasm on my part. Genuinely trying to get honest thoughts from all of you. But here's my solution, on the pacing front if not the lassitude front. With everyone's permission (please weigh in), here's a new policy I'm proposing: I feel like this might have been suggested once long ago, but I'd like to come to it now. This is very much dependent on everyone being okay with this, and not contending it after the fact. This is about this being a game of eight people, and respecting their time. And especially on weekends, the above proposed policy would be a bit more lax, which just makes sense. If we're all agreed on this rule, then it can begin after today/tonight. I know we all have busy lives. All of us. We're adults. The question is whether this game is something you want to be a part of that busy life. If it is, great! I'm never going to stop saying this, because I cannot help but guess at what's not being said, about the silence, about the bursts of inaction. I'm being 100% honest, but I'm not always sure everyone else is. I'm trying here.

We should write long case statements for ready action... cuz that wouldn't be annoying... I was going to ask if you forgot to move Adamant... probably won't matter, I'm sure Shorak will kill the thing this round...

Jeff: I'm completely onboard with this. I recently played in a PbP Marvel Heroic game where the GM had a similar 24-hour policy after you were informed that it was your character's time to act, and it worked pretty well.

"If something I think may be hostile appears within my view, I'll cast X." I wondered about that. OK, to play it safe, I'll amend the post to make it melee attack only. With his ice armor on, Belarin actually wants an enemy to engage him in melee.

I am also good with the policy.
For what it's worth, I had no intention of NOT posting. Friends from California were in my house when I got home and the next thing I knew, we were going out to dinner and talking until WAY too late in the night and then I had to go to work and it was, as you said, 24 hours later, and I hadn't even turned my home computer on during that time (which also means I got no writing on my Trek stuff done and nothing on my final research proposal paper in class either). Said friends plan to move up here to Washington in the next few months. I tell you,a chunk of California is moving up here it seems and indigenous Washingtonians are not amused.
