Hey, guys. I had a very long rough day, involving rushing to the hospital (a 45-minute drive each way) twice. My father-in-law is finally really on his way out. The doctor isn't confident he'll pull through this one. Could be a matter of days, or hours. We had a big scare tonight and spent one of those drives thinking he was already gone.

So...I'm mentally and physically exhausted.

That said, barring another hospital rush between now and late morning, I'll be posting again soon. When crap's going on, I tend to want to be more involved in escapism like this.

Looks like another bad day ahead for my wife and her family. I just posted, and encourage you guys to keep playing. I need the distraction. I'll check again later, whatever's going on.

I'm out pretty much all day today and tomorrow morning. I'm sure I'll be reading, but I might not be posting.

I apologize in advance. Thursday is a writing deadline and I am having a bear of a time trying to figure out the rewrite on ONE LAST MISSION. Not to mention I had a day from hell...one cna only learn how to charge sex offenders for so many hours before realizing just how dirty you feel reading those police reports. Ugh.

I will definitely post tomorrow evening when I get home. If you need Streko to DO something quickly, Jeff...I trust you to take care of it. Otherwise, I will post tomorrow night. Again, I apologize for the delay. I was hoping to get this writing done this past weekend (best laid plans and all....)

I'm driving to Massachusetts tomorrow afternoon for a reunion with some folks I worked with 10 years ago, back in the halcyon dotcom days.

I'll keep checking here for updates the rest of today and Friday morning, then I'll likely be offline until I get back to Joisey late Saturday night.

Nah, you're thinking of an annual get-together that I have with some gaming pals (including Dave), which I'm hoping we'll still do in March.

This is something new. I haven't seen some of these folks since I moved out of Massachusetts and back to NY/NJ nine years ago this week. Should be fun!

As for Grafth, you're welcome! It's been a little fun and a lot educational, as I hadn't really read up much on the 4e ranger beforehand.

I will not be around tomorrow (Friday). I have a funeral to attend in another county and a long drive getting there and back. Thus, I won't return until late Friday night and so will probably not log back in until Saturday morning or thereabouts.

Have I mentioned how much I hate funerals?

Jeff, we know there's a lot going on now in your life: DE, the DDI article you mentioned, your book, other projects, and real life to boot! Your plate is so full that I think I see little bits of unfinished work hanging off the edges. ;D

My motto is: It is what it is. (My family actually bought me a wooden plaque which says that. It hangs in my office here at home.)

Posting over the weekend will be spotty at best. Tropical Storm Beryl has come up the coast from Florida (i.e., my mother-in-law is staying with us for 4 nights) to help celebrate Jordana's 3rd birthday on Sunday. Between preparation for that and hosting a few family members post-party for the Super Bowl, I won't get online much, outside of peeks at my G1 phone's browser.
