That works out nicely, as I'll be mostly unavailable the weekend of Nov. 14-15. My wife and I plan to go away to celebrate our anniversary - the first time we've really done so since we became parents!

So I know that Brian leaves on his trip tomorrow and Ken goes away for the weekend. So events will slow down for a few days starting tomorrow, though I'll try to keep those who are still around engaged.

Yeah, I've been keeping the game a bit slow (despite the usual "let's keep things moving" mantra), because I've sensed people rather busy lately.

So my father-in-law is in the worst condition he's ever been in. Hasn't been out of the hospital (or rehab place) since like mid-summer, and now he's on a serious decline. Even my Thanksgiving plans are rather iffy at the moment.
I don't actually expect to be away from DE much. In fact, it helps. But should I disappear for any length of time, I wanted you to know why.

Also, while I'm at it....Wednesday is my deadline to turn in the first draft of 20 missions I am writing for EVE Online. It's coming down to the wire, so if I don't show up here tomorrow, that's why. I should be here Wednesday evening, though.

Update: I am officially a Deputy Probation Officer! Wow. I start in adult supervision on Thursday, December 3. Like, really, wow...
Got just a couple more items to finish up on my writing deadline (which is tomorrow) and then, some peace and quiet for a while!!
Thank you for all of your kind support. It really helped alleviate some of my nervous pessimism.

This time of year is ridiculously busy, and that plus the holidays means it usually doesn't relent until January. I would have mentioned that I'd be pulling 13 hour days at the Merchandise Mart from now until Sunday, but I forgot anything else existed. As is, I have 10 minutes to get dressed, so I'd better do that.

I'd hate to see a hiatus -- I really enjoy this game -- but Josh's last post indicated that he'll be hard pressed to find time to eat, let alone post.
What say you, Josh? If you'll be out of action for the rest of the month, I'll even humbly volunteer to run Grafth until you're back. (I've come to like shifters! I have a shifter druid in the Living Forgotten Realms RPGA campaign.)
