Shockingly and happily, we did not get a single snowflake up here, although my parents on Staten Island (whom we visited today - burrrp, I'm stuffed) got 2 inches. Seems like I-78 was the dividing line between nada and lots.

I will be in training from 2/22 - 2/26, basically learning how to make arrests and pepper-spraying people. I'm not sure if I will have internet access where I am being put up, so Monday through Friday of next week, I might not be around. If I do have interent access where I am going to be in training, then you can disregard this message altogether. Feel free to delete the duplicate post in the Announcements thread.

Hi, everyone. My schedule for the next two weeks is completely ridiculous. I'll still probably be checking in regularly, but I don't know how often or how in-depth I'll be able to post.

Okay, Darren. Well, Joe is away at the moment, for a week...with online access unknown. So we'll take things slow for a few days.

Just please everyone keep stopping in as you can, though. Don't want to stop, but we can go at a nice comfortable pace.

History of law enforcement right now...take downs and pepper spray on Wednesday and Thursday. I really dislike sleeping in strange beds...my back is unhappy. I never sleep well, but I will survive.

Thanks. And it looks like it's going to be an ongoing ordeal. We've been called back to the hospital this morning, something they found in a scan they're concerned about. Which means we're going to worry like crazy until we find it, which will no doubt result in many more hours waiting in the hospital.

I was planning on posting yesterday and my video card crapped out on me. Imagine trying to see anything in 64 x 48 byte pixles. I had to wait for my roommate to come back from his vacation this afternoon to fix the damn thing. So, I am back. Whew. Sorry for holding things up.

Jeff, just read about your hospital ordeals. I'm sorry to hear it. I also hope all is getting better now. My thoughts are with you right now.

In general guys, all I ask is that you try and check on and post once each day. If you're occupied for the better part of a day, no biggie. And if you know you're going to be gone for longer, just use this thread to let us know.

Otherwise the game just stalls out as I wait for everyone to participate.

FYI - I'm going to be travelling most of this coming week, starting this weekend.

I have no idea how much internet access I'll have during that time. It's quite possible I'll be able to post ... or not.

If it's the latter, assume Syrdan is a good boy, not impulsive, and attacks whatever bad guys he finds in a way that best supports the group.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVE!

As for scheduling, I'll be away (as will Birthday Boy Dave) from Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon at an annual (sometimes semiannual) get-together of old friends for a weekend of gaming in Stamford, CT.

I'll have my smartphone (and possibly my laptop) so I'll check in at least once a day just to see if we're back in action again. I'll be able to post.

This is a heads up. Next weekend I may be away to Indianapolis for a horror movie convention, rubbing elbows with George Romero and Clive Barker, and maybe rubbing other parts with Elvira. ;D

If I get to go, I'll have my notebook computer and my BlackBerry, so posting should not be a problem.
