Question for Jeff (and at the risk of tipping my hand)
Melethos can cast HEX as a bonus action and then attack, correct? He doesn't have to wait until the end of his turn to take his bonus action?

Correct.
I’ll update the map and all that either later tonight or, more likely, first thing tomorrow morning!
I’m not 100% clear on Adamant’s placement of the two of you guys, but I’ll do my best.

so two warlocks in the same party with different patrons... are they going to start trying to one-up each other?

And Melethos can make Belarin look like a box of cookies. Well, he can't, but it was the best response I had.

FYI: My current DM liked and kept in play the double damage on a critical roll. Sorry about that. It isn't easy playing to sets of games and keeping different rule sets in mind. Sigh.

I get it. I generally stick to the main rules and then select some variant rules from the DMG, though.

Not complaining, and it's fine because we've moved forward, but I couldn't find Kal on the map. If I had known he was that far away, I would have used Lightning Shift for his movement to get him there.
C'est la vie.

The moment Kal moved to take the spyglass from Brack, he was moving to stand beside the captain on the bridge. I watched, for two rounds Kal made ranged attacks but didn't move anywhere else. (I'm constantly looking for statements of movements.) Don't depend only on the maps; go with your own actions, and where you know you've moved (or not moved). But as for maps, this was the last map showing where Kal was before you wanted to cast Dimension Door: ashlock.proboards.com/post/44239/thread

In answer to your question, Jeff, yes, Kal does have the staff on him. I always imagined that he was holding that in one hand and Skyfang in the other, although now that I look again, I realize that he doesn't need to use Skyfang as a focus anymore if he has the staff.

Exactly. That's overkill (though it looks badass, like a certain wizard wielding both staff and sword...). The staff can be his focus, but it's up to you if you want Kal shooting lightning from the staff itself (totally fine) or from his fingers (Palpatine style). As long as the arcane focus is in hand, he can spew his magic any which way he decides.
And I encourage you all to include those details when you post your actions, rather than leave me to do it. Less fun when I do it. Help me keep things cinematic!

I was trying to get a post in quickly among a bunch of other things before I ran out the door to a meeting, so I was just trying to make sure the mechanics were in there.

well there's that. I had stopped reading at the point Jeff said I could make the Sentinel attack and went off and did that before coming back and seeing the rest of the troll's work... Glad Adamant got a solid hit (pun sort of intended) in before troll 3 put him down... He's not conscious now so none of his auras apply.

Troll #2 drops to 0 hit points from Adamant's final attack. I'd rather if we didn't call it "Adamant's final attack"...

Stun is deadly.
I was thinking Joe could cast lesser restoration on Melethos but I just looked it up. but it only fixes blinded, deafened, paralyzed, or poisoned.
So then I figured greater restoration. but it only adds two more conditions: charmed and petrified .
I think the only thing available is Divine Intervention (the cleric has a d100 roll vs his level as a percentage to have his god personally intervene). That’s an insane long shot.
so Adamant will try to stay in range to give his +3 and hopefully Brian gets a little luckier...
