Atreko has already said way too much, from Kal's looks of annoyance. I was waiting for Kal to speak before thinking about letting Streko take over again. He's not a diplomat (obviously).

You're the one playing a lord, Darren. This kind of situation comes with the territory. And guess what? You do it well, damn well. But don't confuse role-playing with personal attacks... and then blame us.

I honestly don't know what to do here. I guess stand down, STFU, and let you run the game until one of us is thrown a hook where we can interact.

I'm at a loss, too. Also, who *in character* is even mad at Kal? Does Belarin think that Kalarian jeopardized the peaceful gathering by interrogating people he'd just met about their intentions for the Eye? Yes! But if he were mad at Kal, Belarin wouldn't be trying so hard to pull his ass out of the fire. And - more to the point - is Ken mad at Darren? No!

I honestly don't know what you're looking for in this situation, Darren. No one was mad at you. I suggest that you don't go accusing us of picking on you.

Clearly, Ken and I got the same meaning from what you said. Clearly, you didn't convey accurately what you wanted to say.

You're my friend, Darren. A brother of sorts. And brothers push back. I'm not trying to jam you up or make your situation worse. I'm trying to show you I care enough to call you out when I feel it's warranted.

Because that's what brothers do.

And, for what it's worth, Darren, you continue to play Kal perfectly to character. He really is fun to watch. Exasperating at times, but then, that is part of his charm isn't it? Just like Streko and his vociferous bellicosity. :-)

well jeff started me off with asking if Addy was going to chant in one place and once I had starting facing east, moving around the cardnial points seemed obvious. Then I could only come up with seven themes that represented Dol Arrah so the west is skipped. voila!

The little Message scroll works much like the spell itself; so in this case whoever unscrolls it hears the message. It's not strictly out loud (like the Message spell isn't).

No. It's a poor messenger in that regard. She can merely see through it at this time when concentrating to do so. He doesn't know how it would work if it was an intelligent undead like the ghoul, though. The tauth is mindless, no matter what, and acts strictly on instructions.

Jeff, Kal's spell slots never got updated when he levelled up. Do you want to do that?

Not that it was that different, but I had already rolled the Magic Missile damage. It was a 12. If you want to use your roll instead, I won't complain.

Aside, I imagine Kurra's weapon something like this. Except a wand instead of a pistol. Does double duty.

Counting the squares measuring Adamant to troll, I have about 24 squares south (120' assuming each square is 5') and 17 squares east (85'). Using c= sqrt(square (120) + square(85)) I get about 147'.

Of course the ship is moving presumably... give it 6 seconds...

The ship is basically stopped at this point, both of them, and Brack doesn't want to risk going closer.

Jeff, Kal used Scorching Ray, not Fire Bolt, on the troll. That's why I rolled three times.
