Thul ponders the newly augmented blade, pleased with the results. Thul eyes the ship, looking for some other surfaces to test it on. His eyes linger on the warforged... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! I love this!

There he finds Adamant and Shorak. In the gloom of the rain, their shapes look indistinct, almost blurred. For some reason, the image unsettles him. It's like they're there and they're not. A shiver climbs up his back, and he approaches them. Oh great. nice foreshadowing our deaths... now Jeff will have to work doubly hard to kill specifically Adamant and Shorak. Thanks Brian! (end of mock outrage )

I've been watching the Netflix series The Haunting of Hill House, which is excellent, and wanted to add some of that creepy atmosphere to my post.

Stick with the rogue and Adamant will survive, even if just barely. If there is one thing Shorak is good at, it's surviving.

btw, love the graphic of the ship with the below deck image next to the top deck one and the colors stretching between them. Beautifully done.

So it takes 10 minutes to don heavy armor like Melethos's. FYI.

I think Adamant's armor is literally attached. I don't think he can take it off without an artificer...

Guys,
Can someone remind me about the dagger we found on the ship that we figured it would be a scrying device for the Coin Lord?
How did we find it?

The Coin Lord left it "accidentally" on our ship. We've tossed it overboard a while back...

Kurra spotted it right away, showed Brack, and then Brack prompted Kal to toss it in the harbor on the way out of the city. Done deal.

Just wanted to say, I had no real reason for Shorak to start the in all his gear, armor, weapons, etc. But, now I'm glad for it.

I feel like we're on Serenity and we're waiting for the Reavers to just fly on past us.... If it must be compared, then equal parts Reavers and John Cleese's Halfdan the Black in Erik the Viking. And more specifically, his scary crew and toothy ship.

I can't recall if I've actually seen that or not. If I have, it must have been back in high school and I clearly don't remember it.

Brian, I know Kal didn't hear Melethos talking to Belarin, but Melethos has often enough seen Kal cast Fire Bolt to know that he has it, FWIW, and Kal can cast it to a range of 240' because of his Spell Sniper feat.I wasn't sure if Kal knew Fire Bolt or not. I just remembered Fire Wall. But we were discussing flying, invisible characters and I had an idea that Melethos may suggest if this goes sideways.

Belarin invokes Eldritch Sight. If it looks like some sort of summoning sphere, as Sem suggests, he can cast dispel magic to get rid of it. Detect Magic has a range of 30 feet.

Adamant grabs the back of Sem’s jacket. “I won’t allow you to fall.” Per the map, Adamant is literally the furthest person from Sem. At least 60 feet away.

I guess I never said it but when Kal ordered Adamant, Belarin, and Sem to go check out the third glowy thing, he was going to follow that order. I'm not entirely sure where that is but the three of us should be clustered together.

Not sure what to say about that. I just can't work with "I would have" or "was going to" kind of stuff; that's why I look for stated actions, not even spoken intentions.

Up to you. You can post what you intend to do on your first round, but the round will still play out in the Initiative order. But as far as moving into positioning or drawing a weapon, I'm basically giving you guys the opportunity to so something brief right before your actual round begins. If you intend to cast a spell or make some kind of attack roll, that'll happen on your actual turn in combat, though.
