Jeff: What's your rule of thumb regarding the number of short rests you can take in one day? The PHB doesn't take a hard stance. The answer will inform Belarin's response to Brack.

I have no hard rule. Probably three (between long rests) would be reasonable, but circumstances could shift that. Also, I take very seriously the idea that a short rest is "at least" one hour. That'll do it most of the time but if the PCs are hanging out in, say, a region of high volcanic activity, even a single hour might not cut it. |

When Brack said no sleeping up top to Thul... Did he say that within earshot of Wylkes?
Was that farce for Wylkes' benefit?
