Alternatively, Joe, you might want to cast a heal on yourself... Condign can take a lot more punishment that Streko...
I'll get something posted soon...

Wait, did I get skipped? Belarin should go before the baddies.

It was Adamant's turn, then the Hooded One, and now Kal and Tangat. I believe Belarin is up at the top of the next round. The ghoul crossing the flaming wall of d'Deneith death could have been a random act.

Got it. I only got concerned when Jeff said that the Emissary's act was upcoming, since that would mean an unmoving Belarin is dead meat. :-)

I assumed the wraith was delaying his action.

I updated the map this morning, then forgot to actually upload it before I left for work. Sorry, just going to wait until tomorrow to resume, then.
Also, Ken: "Belarin moves 30 feet due south." Doing so would put Belarin clear out over the open pit. 20 feet would put you where you're trying to go, I think. This could be a screen brightness problem. When I'm on my home screen, it's easier to see where the pit is, even in the dim light, but at work it's considerably darker.

Okay, Jeff, thanks. I was looking at the map on my phone, so maybe the contrast wasn't the best.

Isn't the Emissary still at disadvantage to attacks as long as he's in sight of the woman?

No. Sorry, I should have been clearer, but he shrugged off the effect in this moment: ashlock.proboards.com/post/25614/threadBut you did make me realize that I forgot the damned ghoul was paralyzed still! My bad. I'll amend.

Okay, I likely would've done something different had I realized it was a near-certainty that Belarin would be hit by the opportunity attack, but we'll roll with it.

Even disadvantaged, a +9 attack against AC 15 is likely to hit (I think). But I am sorry. Sometimes I post things only in my head.

Two questions. Is Shorak still at disadvantage on attack rolls or is there now just enough light? Also, if Shorak were to attempt to trip the wraith, basically trying to kick his legs out from under him, how would I roll for that?

Still in dim lighting, so disadvantage. Only those within 50 feet of Adamant can benefit from the bright light he is shedding.
As for the wraith-thing, the action you'd normally go for is shoving, which allows you to either knock back a target by 5 feet or knock them prone, if you make a successful Strength (Athletics) check opposed by their Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. But in this guy's case, due to his form, like a regular wraith, he cannot be knocked prone. Which doesn't mean he can't be pushed, but I don't think that's what you're after here.

That's unfortunate. Shorak has no intention of putting hands on the wraith. I was just considering the possibility of trying to do a sweep kick to knock his legs out from under him, but that sounds more like a Monk thing. I'll have him do something else. Thanks anyway.

Gents: Is there anything I can do to help keep things moving along? Sort of feels like we're in a lull or unintentional hiatus.

I can't speak for everyone, but I'm in the midst of Musical Season now. I've been checking in, but my ability to post is sometimes limited by only being able to post from my phone, which means I can't easily look at my character sheet or get to the dice roller.

I think it's been more about timing, really. I have my MFA Playwrights Festival going on, so I seem to keep adding to the slow down. I can't tell you how many times I've missed the post that would start Shorak's turn by less than an hour, but not know this until I've had a chance to check the page again 12+ hours later. Timing. That's why I was slow to post this last time. I wanted to wait for Jeff's answer to my question and must have missed his response by minutes and didn't have a chance to get online again until late last night.
Besides, aren't the best deaths the slow ones?

I've certainly felt some frustration, but that's because Condign ended up out of action for a while. Not anyone's fault, of course. It's the game. But I suspect things will pick up soon. After all, someone's ready to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and he's all out of bubblegum.

For what it's worth—and in case this is a factor for anyone's motivation—there's not too much more for Dolurrh. You've found the sphinx, you're just looking for that portal home, you've got the directions. It's just a matter of getting through the final speed bumps. There a lot of ways this entire lengthy Dolurrh adventure could have gone—it was very not predetermined. You almost gave up even looking for the sphinx a few times and I was prepared to let it go that way. But you took the final bait and it's paying off. Just need to go those last few deadly steps. And try to keep some of you alive. In brief:

Thanks, Jeff! It's been a great journey, but we'll all be glad to see the light of day again... y'know, right before we shove a stake up Krez's ass.

Kraz and Branash... let's not forget him... Adamant is feeling particularly uncharitable towards Branash; call it a character flaw.
I've been busy, one of my friends said of our inept management who keeps setting impossible deadlines and changing requirements at the last minute that "they're no longer content to shoot ourselves in the foot; they're aiming higher". But it's becoming typical but still annoying. I don't think I've held things up too much. I hope not anyway.
The trip to Dolurrh has been very dramatic. And it's been a tough slog, but that all seems right... if it were easy, every 1st level adventurer would be doing it, right? It should be dangerous and dark. I have to say I really enjoyed Adamant falling at one point. I sympathize with Brian being separated like that is tough.
