Ken, did you by chance read Keith's Dreaming Dark trilogy yet? If not, and you're reading Son of Khyber first, boy are you going to be confused later.

What does moving on entail? Right now I'm just letting you guys talk. Not sure if you want to tell each other about your experiences...
Also, we can't "move on" until you know where you're going next. Or if you're going to just end the day, etc.

Oooh, somebody's cruisin' for a bruisin'.
But seriously, if you do want to wait and carry out both tasks (missing elf and meet with 'Z') at the same time rather than sequentially as a group, expect things will move much slower.
Your decision, of course. All of y'all.

Hey, Jeff....don't forget that Kal used a Healing Surge for Tangat. I don't think it's reflected in the HP totals.

Guys, sometimes some of your longer posts thrill me because I see the effort you put into the roleplaying and character immersion. And sometimes the simple short ones are the best.

I loved that post, too. Short but hysterical.
On an unrelated note, posting today as a half-crazed, on-the-make warlock kept my sanity during a really nutty day at the office. A much needed mental health break. So, oddly, thank you all!

I agree, I'm very impressed with the effort everyone puts in here.
Man, I wish I could post from work. Having some sanity at the end of the day sounds like that could be pleasant.

As for me, I'm quite powerful, yet I am as weak as a babe in the presence of a beautiful woman like you. Did I mention the gifted tongue earlier?" Like Mike says through Syrdan, "Belarin speaks well enough for us all". Geez, I think he could woo Adamant.

I hope I"m not introducing a modern sensibility to the whole bodyguard discussing employer thing. I can't imagine a modern bodygaurd even confirming who he's working for, and especially if they're sort of slumming it. But now I'm second-guessing myself...

Nahh, it's just fine, Dave. In fact, I'm amused at Adamant's half-truths. Darren: here's a rough map I made for you, just so you can see where this alley is in relation to the street and the front door of Silvermist. It's not quite to scale, though.

Joe, regarding your question of when Adamant departed, I think we're OK.
From Dave's post earlier: So at the time that Streko went inside, Adamant was still by the doorman warforged. He didn't move away from that spot until after Streko went inside.

Ken has the sequence correct. Adamant was at the door when Streko went in. Adamant left the front to go talk to Kal. Streko doesn't currently know the door is unwatched.
I'm not sure we need to bother watching the door anymore. It made sense at first, especially since we recently pissed off an orc. But it's been a while now. And it's probably better to try an concentrate the group than watch for possible ambush. IMHO.

I don't get the impression that it's been that long, but I also think it's okay. Just roll with it. Streko did what he thought was best, and Joe was playing Streko the way he should. I mean...what could possibly go wrong?

I actually was a bit confused myself: mainly about where Adamant was going. So he's accompanying Kal in a circuit around the building, yes?

That's the plan. When Streko went inside, Adamant went to wherever kal was. He's going to stick with Kal for now.

By the way, Jeff, I really liked this part: Very cinematic. I can practically see a point-of-view shot as Belarin stares at the vial. Slow zoom in on the vial... and cut to the bartender saying "Dreamlily."

I think there's some confusion here, anyway. Kal and Adamant had previously moved forward to that first intersection. And yes, I understand what you're saying about Ghost Sound. Maybe I wasn't clear, but Kal was placing the entire thing as far down the alleyway as possible in front of him, so that the people up ahead would think they were being surrounded (between Kal and Adamant and the ghost sounds on the other side).
It's semantics and not too important. Except, possibly, for the positioning of where Kal and Adamant actually are right now.

Okay, an updated map has been added to my last post. Note that you can't actually see all of that space beyond the alley yet, but that should give you some context.
