I'm with Dave -- keep it DE-based. There are a number of Eberron wikis already online, and we can always ask you for specific info about a location that our PCs may or may not know.
But "the compiled notes of Kal's Adventures" has me thinking... In addition to timeline, NPCs, etc., it would be cool if each of us also contributed in-character, first-person journal entries or logs, describing the things that have happened to us, as well as events that happened "off-panel" or prior to the start of the campaign. Yes, it's work, but it would be fun and provide a way to flesh out our characters a little more.

Ooo, that could be fun. Secret, but public, diaries. I kinda like that.

Agree with Ken & Dave ... a DE-centric wiki is infinitely preferable (and more useful) than a general Eberron wiki. I already know of a couple, so maybe the DE wiki could just link to those other wikis. And I haven't nearly said "wiki" enough in this post. Wiki, wiki, wiki, wiki, wiki ... ;D

Joe, your last post was wonderful! Excellent, my friend. It seemed to sum up everthing quite well. I really enjoyed reading it.

Same feelings here. Great post, Joe! I was as dumbstruck as Belarin was. ;-) Emotional and a nice coda at the end of the chapter.

Kal through Darren:
(Since Condign isn't in the room) I think we need to go back to that shop keeper that Streko's mother originally sent us to see. Right? To complete that part of the quest?

Jeff, I am certainly fine with ending the chapter here. Condign will just rest until Streko can heal him. I'd prefer to try one of Joe's rolls to my own miserable ones.

Guys, please, don't rush into buying a sword, spending hundreds or thousands of the party's gold (depending on what Jeff says about the sword Kal found), for Condign. Think about it. We've just completed a quest. And we freed that girl down there--which is what caused the sword to break in the first place and she said she had a father (who may be appreciative). And we're going back down with another guardian and will receive some kind of reward. It may be best to hold off for a little longer and see if something falls into place. But I'll leave it up to you. Nonetheless, your generosity is touching.

From the PHB, by the way: Identifying Magic Items Most of the time, you can determine the properties and powers of a magic item during a short rest. In the course of handling the item for a few minutes, you discover what the item is and what it does. You can identify one magic item per short rest.
Some magic items might be a bit harder to identify, such as cursed or nonstandard items, or powerful magical artifacts. Your DM might ask for an Arcana check to determine their properties, or you might even need to go on a special quest to find a ritual to identify or to unlock the powers of a unique item.If any of you choose to examine/study the items you got from Slattra, it might be worth pointing that out in the main thread. I'm not the sort of DM that will just have everything passively take effect or reveal itself.

Dave: Dave, you have no idea how uproariously funny this really is for me. Jeff borrowed a character from a short story I wrote for a project called The Ghosts of Zero, gave her a name (which I didn't need to do), and plopped her in DE. When I first read that encounter, I chuckled for two days each time I thought about it. If you want to follow the Ghosts of Zero project (you would recognize some of the other contributors ), go to www.foreshadows.net and keep an eye open for updates.

Oh, there's history here! Thanks I will chase down that link as soon as I can. I really tossed that in there more as comic relief (the image of the warforged shrieking like a mad old woman) than anything to follow up on...

Brian: But do bear in mind that the crazy old lady has now taken on an identity here in Eberron, a world of magic. So don't necessarily dismiss her ravings.

Okay, I'm wondering if maybe we're not all waiting for one another to do something, where none of us does anything. The way I read the threads, all we need is an answer from Syrdan on one thing: Mike, I know you said you were set to go ahead with Chapter 7. I'm just wondering if you may have missed this one thing. Just bringing it to your attention.

Sorry, thought I'd already addressed that with the "went into trance, got up, joined the others and am waiting and ready for Chapter 7." I'll write an additional post now since it looks like one is required.
