VINDICATION! I AM NOT INSANE!! Yes, indeed, THIS psychological evaluator said she was passing me and was amazed at the reason for the previous evaluator's interpretation of failure. [...] Anyhow, what this means, no doubt, is that there will be a tie-breaker evaluation...if you can believe THAT nonsense. Sounds nuts to me, Joe! I'm glad you seem to be weathering the red tape OK, though. Best, Lara

Glad your officialy sane, Joe. So I'm going to be gone from Friday through Sunday, returning sometime on Monday. I'm not sure what, if any, Internet access I'll have during that time. So it might be a quiet few days. But still...please, keep talking. Right now is mostly between players!

I'm back. And I'll post later today. But hey, thanks for keeping discussions going! I was afraid things would peter out. Who needs the DM, anyway? Keep going! This is—so far—the most cooperation and complimentary planning I've seen in this group.

And I will be away most of the day tomorrow. I'll probably get one check-in late tonight and then probably not again until tomorrow night.

Yeah, I'm back. I've been waiting for Lara. Kalarian can't really answer himself. (Well, he probably could, cause that's the kind of guy he is, but still.....)

Goran is sleeping, awaiting further instructions. I guess we're waiting on the KalPel combo, eh? Har har.

Just as an FYI: Depending on the state of affairs with the Grass Valley Fire in Lake Arrowhead, my parents might need to evacuate, in which case my home becomes theres until such time as they can return...which means I may or may not have much internet access (as I will be giving up my place for them and their dog). At this time, the two adjascent towns to theirs are under voluntary evacuation...so there is still hope they won't have to leave. FIngers and toes are crossed that the fire will be extinguished quickly. I update my blog fairly often, so feel free to check there for more up to date info: sheriffjoe.livejournal.com/And thank you for your well wishes! Joe

Best of luck to your parents, Joe! Seriously, that stuff is no joke. You do what you have to do.

I'm running out the door shortly, so I probably won't be able to post anything until tomorrow morning at the earliest. Then I should be back to normal for a while.

I'm out of town on business through Tuesday. I'll check in before I leave on Saturday and then probably not again until Wednesday after I return, unless I have free Internet access at the hotel.

So what should we be doing now, people? It's been near dead.
Lara, can you post before you go? Or should we just wait for you?

Seriously, guys, what gives? 4 days of nothing. If everyone's just waiting for someone else to post, that's not much of a game. I don't want to do this thing unless it's worth it, and it's only worth it if you're having fun and actually want to participate. At this point it feels like it's a chore to everyone. Not what I want.

Since I had agreed to follow Grafth's lead, I was trying not to be too pushy.

I am not exactly sure what Goran, Pel and Streko are even DOING...as far as I recall, Streko is simply to cover Goran's back should something happen, but we are now on an entirely different level from where the "main action" is occuring...so...part of the problem is that I allowed Streko to take a passive role in this meeting. I guess for Streko, it is just a matter of waiting and seeing! Which we all know is something that halflings excel at. HA!!

All in all, maybe that's part of the problem. In the last month, the game has draggmed mainly because everyone seems to be waiting for everyone else to do something first. I've set the stage...but now it's just dead silent.
You don't have to wait for someone else to react to the world, to interact with it. You don't have to drive the "main action" in order to roleplay.

I've got a presentation today that I've been working on over the last several days. Tomorrow I'll catch up with the game and post some good, solid stuff.

I hate Office Assistant tests. I can DO the things they ask in Word and Excel, I just can't explain HOW I do them...and along with computer gliches in the test and my own impatience...I got very frustrated, very quickly. Fortunately, according to the test proctor, he seems to think I did fine (another thing that REALLY bothered me was the 50 odd psychological questions they asked before I even took any administrative tests....I am SO BLOODY SICK of psychological testing...I could just SCREAM!). In fact...
There.
Much better.
Now back to our regularly scheduled mayhem.......

Thanks, Jeff! I think I did well, but I refuse to get my hopes up until I hear for certain. I will announce the verdict once I hear it. Until then, fingers and toes are crossed.

I'm in a major project crunch this week, so I'm out of commission on the game until Monday. My apologies....I just have too much swimming around in my brain.
