Adamant could carry Sem across while flying, correct?

He'd be encumbered, but yes, he could.

Tying it off in two places doesn't necessarily mean taut. Could be kept slightly loose. I don't know. That's why I'm also asking you guys to please provide as much detail as you can. A lot of time gets lost here with me having to ask for clarity. I could just assume, but then it feels like it's just me talking here, you know? I know the slow pacing wears at some of you but that's despite my best efforts to keep this story moving while also giving you guys as much agency as I can. it's a fair cop. It was clear in my head...

Dave B. (and the rest of you, too): don't forget the Inspiration gained during the Hero's Feast. If Shorak still has his, you can roll your check again.

Yes, but you've got to decide to use it at the time of your roll.
Also, the latest Inspiration came not from Heroes' Feast, but from the final-night revelry on board the Dragonfly.

Right. I didn't mean the spell itself, but from the party. I just called it the Hero's Feast.

Not that Adamant intends to use it but is Fly gone now? We had 7 mins but that was days ago...

There's a lot of waiting happening here, clarifications and corrections waited on, etc. Very little time is actually passing. It's been a couple of minutes, so Fly has another, let's say 4 minutes left.

I wouldn't worry about forgetting to mention the disadvantage. With Shorak's Reliable Talent, he still would have rolled no less than a 22.

Jeff, how far away was wand-guy from Streko? More than 60 feet?

Look at the grid. 1 square is 5 feet. But yes, more than 60 ft.

Jeff, can the party still hear what seems to be a large something coming down the stairs?

Yes. But remember we're only in the second round. So it's not like it's been a long time they've been hearing them.
In any case, I've added a note to this in one of my last posts.

Jeff, just to confirm: Belarin has no visible targets from his current vantage point, correct?

Melethos cast his Expeditious Retreat and Kalarian cast Fly during Round 2. Belarin cast his Expeditious Retreat during Round 3.

Thanks. In that case, Mel's spell is ended, Fly is about to end, and Belarin only has a few rounds worth. It boils down to time passing more "quickly" between combat rounds, just as the party talks and climbs the stairs.

Question: if Belarin cast his Expeditious Retreat spell one round after Mel cast his, how does Belarin have "a few rounds left" but Mel's spell has ended?

I meant a few seconds, sorry. 1 round. Make it count. Mel can run real fast in a circle if he wants...

Sorry for the confusion about who was more likely to get hit. I forget to think in game mechanics, so AC wasn't on my mind....just that Shorak was more agile and could duck out of the way. It's also more than AC, anyway. Shorak has Uncanny Dodge, possibly his most powerful ability (along with Cunning Action). As long as he has a reaction to spend, he can turn a single hit into half damage. But still, he's more likely to take that hit in the first place.

OOOOOH, a golem! To use the old 4E terminology, we're definitely in the Paragon tier now, baby!

Not here! That whole side to the right (east), where it's an cliff dropoff, is open to the daylight. Bright light all around this area, I'm afraid (and certainly anywhere within 50 feet of Adamant and his Delver's Light).

I'm confused. Melethos's Commander's Strike allowed Shorak to use his Reaction during the previous round. I make sure Shorak hasn't used his Reaction during the current round when using Commander's Strike, since if he has, I've wasted a superiority die.
As far as I understand the maneuver rules, Shorak's critical hit is good, unless the "stuck" boomerang negates any damage inflicted. What Shorak couldn't do is attack during Round 2 unless he has another weapon to use.
Have I got that right or wrong?

Ahh, I see. You're right. I had the sequence wrong. I've adjusted. So the reaction was used on Mel's turn, and that's when the boomerang crit-hits and then sticks.
So we're at the top of the next round, Shorak's and Belarin's turn.

Well that sucks. I'll amend my post, having Shorak switch to his hand crossbow. It does the same damage, just piercing instead of slashing. He'll use a non-magical bolt first.

Jeff, the saving throw for Wall of Fire only applies on the turn it is cast. If the statue is willingly ending its turn in range of the wall (or passes thru it on its turn), it takes full damage automatically.
