I'm waiting for Kal to respond to Mel before Big Red answers Addy's question.

Again, Mel is waiting for Kal to respond to his question. I don't want to just send him off on his own authority. I'd like to see some consensus about whether Big Red should talk to Orvak or not.

Maybe give Darren a few more hours, Brian. But yeah, it's been 6 days since you last asked, so you might have to make the call alone.

Hey, Jeff, does the galeb duhr's leader respond to Belarin's question about his name, or - as I'm guessing - are you waiting for the two "timelines" to sync up?

Sorta! And I also have Shorak's gift to respond to. I'll get to it soon!

Jeff came up with it! He showed me a few versions of this new profile picture and I went with my favorite. It's less cartoony than the previous one, and I think it reflects better how Mel really would look.

Seeing Belarin's exertion to keep the dancing lights going, Kal drifts back towards the end of the line and reaches out to touch the soarsled, which begins to glow with its own light. Kal simply nods at Belarin, then returns to his place in line. ______________ Kal will cast Light on the soarsled.Just making sure, your intent is to light the back end of the party?

Yes. Adamant has the front covered, so I was figuring on providing light for the people in the back.

Cool. Just a reminder, though: Adamant has it on a dim setting. So it shines 100 ft dimly. Disadvantage on all checks to spot things in dim light.

There's nothing I can do to move the action forward without a stated action from Shorak. Dave, if you could please end your post with what Shorak would like to do, I can get things rolling until the next time you can post.

Sorry Brian, but Shorak was waiting for the bright light before deciding his next move. Didn't mean to slow things down for you.

What you had Shorak waiting for was 100% the best decision. What might have helped was adding a conditional action to the end of your post, like “If Adamant complies and turns his light to full power, Shorak will continue up the stairs, still searching for traps.”

Jeff, would it be at all possible for Kal to throw up a Wall of Fire in front of the group before the ice ball hits?
If not that, could he try to hit it with a Scorching Ray? Is it too big for that to be significant?

I would allow that! BUT then Kal would be forgoing any saving throw attempt of his own. A Wall of Fire certainly can't stop a big heavy object rolling downhill, but it's reasonable to think that the heat could mitigate the cold factor somewhat since the whole ice boulder would have to plunge through the fire fully.
Scorching Ray would be insignificant, yes.

Heya. I’m waiting for everyone to post again before moving anything forward, but to be clear: Mel and Kal are both saying to keep going. But there is a large amount of brown mold in your path, on account of the wall of fire. It WILL deal more cold damage if you get close enough to it.

I'm not sure when Ken will be able to post again, and given Jeff's reminder that Greater Invisibility lasts only a minute, I'm going to amend Melethos's plan. He'd going to use Kal's cold resistance and Adamant's whetstone and just run up the stairs.
We may still be on hold while Ken finishes his move, but at least we can get some further information to plan better what we want to do when he does return.

Just another reminder, Streko and Sem will be at a distinct disadvantage attempting to "run" up these stairs. They might need some magical assistance (the soarsled perhaps?).

I don't know that we'll need to run, but the soarsled is a great idea for getting us safely over the mold. Good thought, Joe!

Definitely looks messed up. Two odd things: * There's a weird backquote symbol after the 3. I don't see how that affects the math * I don't like how it removes spaces now… and I just notice it also removes the 1 if you do something like #repeat 3 1d20 + 7... it displays the result as having come from #repeat3 D20 + 7
again, not sure how that would affect the math… but I'm not sure the latest upgrade did anything helpful
Anyway, we should check the math. There's probably a way to report the error if to Rolz though I'm not sure you're going to get quick attention… these sorts of sites tend to be low-support.

Just putting it out there that if anyone would like to try to find another dice roller we could try, I'm all for it. I'm stretched pretty thin on all things DE myself. The few quick searches I've attempt just yield apps, which is not helpful to us. There are a lot of rollers, but not a lot of linkable trackers. In the interim, suggestions I would make to minimize dice roller wonkiness: - Log in with an account. Doesn't matter what it is, just avoid using the default one, Alric6832. It can be a pain but I find it seems more reliable when you're logged in as somebody.
- Just stick to the base rolls yourself, d20, d8, etc., and then add the modifiers manually yourself. You have to know those, anyway!
- Then paste the results of said rolls here. No need to paste the half-gibberish sequences here. Anytime I want to link to a direct roll, I place the number and link right to the actual roll-page. Like this d100 result of 40. You get the page by itself by clicking the little chain-link symbol to the left of it.

Dave, just a reminder that Adamant still has Fly cast on him, if you need it. Thanks. It may yet come to that. Flying: it's like walking but with the terrifying and unnatural disconnection from the Host-blessed earth. OTOH, Jeff, galeb goat is fantastic... if only there were a way to give the DM an inspiration point.

sorry, i was confused on the rock non-people. No, it makes sense Adamant would be puzzled by them. For one, only Streko (from a much earlier knowledge roll) knows that galeb duhr can animate regular rocks into the semblance of life, and he's never mentioned this to anyone else. Sem also knew, hence his explanation.

it’s because he's warforged… he sees a humanoid shapped rock and thinks, hey, that could be a person…
