".... I yield the decision making to you two now. Thul will recover and those who survived the Cogship's scuttling will be looking for us. The farther away we are, the better. __________________________________________________________________ Persuasion Check → 7Halfling Luck Persuasion Check #2 → 25There's really no need to roll social-based checks on other PCs. Just as I never roll NPC Persuasion checks to persuade you guys. It's hard to regulate that sort of thing, and no one wants to be told they have to cave to a certain point of view based on another's roll. For NPCs as the recipient, it's a little different. But this does actually remind me of something I was wanting to mention to all of you guys. When it comes to Persuasion checks or even Intimidation checks, rather than just add a roll to a post, write whatever it is that your character is saying and then, in out-of-character text, tell me what it is you're trying to accomplish. Give me a clear goal to work with. So if Belarin gives me a couple paragraph's worth of "persuasive" speech, backing up whatever roll he is doing, Ken could then in pink text write: Belarin is trying to convince the night sentry that he did a terrible job singing earlier that day and he shouldn't quit his night-job as a guard. Now I as DM know he's trying to hurt the sentry's feelings or at least steer him away from a terrible career choice.

I agree that Ulad will have to sleep with the fishes and arise as Histra's new minion.
And the night sentry IS a terrible singer.

Adamant is not there to give an opinion, but I don't know that he'd object to the twelve deciding to execute him with the way the Cog ship has been harassing us (an presumable them). Addy wouldn't want the man tortured but a clean execution of an opponent isn't unreasonable.
Adamant would also be concerned about annoying our loose but current allies. Maybe... Maybe... if the man could make a trustworthy oath to go off and never harass others again it might be worth it. I don't see that happening.
I'm also not sure what else we can get from him. Adamant would think that we already got the most important thing: what to do about Thul's hand. What else could we reasonably expect? What's the Cog plan? Can you tell us exactly where the eye is? what are your friend's powers and weaknesses? would any of us answer those questions even if we got something in trade?

I and Shorak feel it's the Twelve's decision, since Udal is their prisoner. They can do whatever they want. Of course, if it was one of us in that cell, he would probably feel different. I know I certainly would.

He pauses, then turns to Ossdel. "I know you expected more of the Dragonfly to come and eat. We feared leaving the ship unguarded, as we have made new enemies recently. But your feast is so good we'd like to share it with our friends. Would it be possible to bring some over to our ship so our friends may partake?" From earlier, though: The servant also brings out a thin but clean wooden box. "Fit whatever you can in here, when you are finished, to take back to your ship, my lords." The box is the to-go bag.

A Tangat-bag is just a bag that Tangats eats everything in, without sharing.

He then follows Kal back to the the brig. Bridge, not brig. FYI, I'm just waiting for Streko and Kal to act again.

"My arcane talents are more ... innate, closer to a sorcerer's skill than a wizard's. But Histra there--" he indicates the necromancer studying nearby "--is an excellent wizard. She's been helping me to expand my skills. Are there sorcerers in the House?" Jeff, good morining! I just wanted to remind you of the conversation on the Dragonfly. Thanks!

Jeff, is the soarsled the Asperii is giving us the same as the one that Kurra shoved into the hold earlier? Did they take it back? I thought we were hiding it from them....

They are the same one. I don't believe it was ever shoved into the hold; it never left the top deck. That said, it's not like the Asperii wouldn't have noticed one of their precious soarsleds is unaccounted for. But two, it was explained that after Long Shadows was over (and you guys were washed up on the beach), the Dragonfly and the Asperii reconnected. Huru, Belodim, and the soarsled all went back over to their ship again. They of course knew about it. In any case, that same one is now being given to you. I've added the soarsled to the Misc. tab of the DE Stats document. Here's how it works, and you discuss whether you wish to bring it with you off the Dragonfly when you disembark, or leave it with the ship.
A soarsled is a crystalline disk 5 feet in diameter. It can carry a passenger through the air, using the same principles as the buttresses that sustain the towers of Sharn. It has been modified by Cannith artificer so it can be activated not only within Sharn or another Syrian manifest zone, but also when sufficiently powered by transmutation magic. When completely disenchanted, the soarsled weighs 1,100 lbs.
- When a 1st-level transmutation spell is cast upon it, it functions like Tenser’s Floating Disk; it can bear only 400 lbs but lasts for 24 hours.
- To become fully functional, two 3rd-level castings of the Fly spell must be used (or one 4th-level casting of Fly). It then remains activated for 15 minutes and becomes fully functional.
- You can stand on the soarsled and use an action to mentally activate it, causing it to hover beneath you. The soarsled can carry up to 400 pounds, and stops hovering when you step off it.
- Once per turn in place of a move: You can mentally command the hovering soarsled to move up to 30 feet in any direction.
- Once per turn, as an action: You can make a DC 12 Dexterity (Acrobatics) check, moving the soarsled up to an additional 60 feet on a success.
- When it has been used to fly for a total of 15 minutes, or when you deactivate it by stepping off it, it loses its energy and can’t be used again until it is re-activated.
So basically, need to cast the Fly twice on it (or once if you use a 4th-level spell) to allow it to function fully, but it can bear the weight of two normal-weighted people (400 lbs.) and it lasts for 5 minutes longer than the Fly spell. Traveling with such a heavy object would be untenable unless you use a single spell slot of transmutation on it each day, which turns it into a Tenser's Floating Disk. (Starg, Sem, and Histrall, all being wizard-ish, have such spell slots.) So that would be good for bearing the weight of gear you don't want to be carrying all the time. Which could be useful when you're on foot again.

A few moments later, Calirataia emerges from the floor in front of Sem. She kneels down as he summarizes the situation. "Tangat," she calls out. When the dog doesn't come to her, she walks into the cabin (something she seldom does) and sits down beside the dog. She strokes his ears and neck and murmurs words words of druidic persuasion. Tangat lifts his head from Kal's lap and whines back at her. He makes almost comical "talking" noises, quiet half-barks and grumble-sounding growls. "He cast a spell. One Tangat says you have all seen before. Days ago. To speak, to commune, with some power." The dryad's face shows that she clearly does not like it, neither the situation nor the magic being referred to. "But it took him 'away' instead of giving him answers." Jeff, you didn't put anything in the reference quotes. That link goes nowhere.

All right, Belarin will attune to the wand when he gets a chance. He'll remove the Aundairian ring of protection.

Ken, I don't think the ring required attunement. Kal has one, too, and it's not listed in one of his slots.
