Use this place to argue, object to, or praise your fellow players and DM. And to inevitably rant about how the dice roller has it in for you. You, specifically. You know who you are.

Just want to say, I loved the Cave. That was a lot. Thanks Jeff!

I agree. I can only imagine the amount of work that went into those private encounters. Yikes!

Glad to hear it! I know for some it was a slog. But as always, please remember I can't change the fact that our pace is limited by this not being a tabletop game. The Cave would have been a single session, and the dragon and efreeti stuff would have been like two sessions in real life in tabletop play.

True Jeff. OTOH, we don't have the pain of trying to schedule every week and the inevitable canceling... Not to mention the 45 minute drive home...

All too true!
I'm eager to see how some of the Cave subplots play out in the months to come.

You should feel seen.
But also, there've been more than one of you.

Sorry Elvis I posted out of step again... oh, but Jeff fixed it anyway.
Did Thul attune to Syndra already?

Not just yet, no. Haven't really finished the "short rest" hour it takes first.
Should Adamant wish to attune to the glaive during his long rest, he can; he'll have extra time just waiting for the rest of the party to sleep anyway.

Thanks Jeff. I have been busy today so my search-fu was weak... Adamant will attune the glaive when his rest comes.

One bit of business from pre-long rest, Adamant offered to give Kal back his Rekkenmark sword, did Kal take it?
Re: the glaive. So this is a style change. He's not going to be carrying the shield now. He still owns it but I don't see him strapping both glaive and shield to his back...
So his protection style where he imposes disadvantage won't be in affect. And his AC is 19. But he still has Sentinel which is nice and a bit of reach.
And once a day he can Dimension Door which I will find a use for! I assume it's just like the spell where I can take one willing person with me.

Yup. Dimension Door lets you bring one other with you, just pay attention to encumbrance.
If you find the lack of shield really cramps your style, you can always change your mind and set the glaive aside again. A few others in the party are proficient with martial weapons...

He approaches Adamant. "Did anything happen during the night?" He removes his tinker's tools from his pouch. "Do you need anything repaired?" "Not need, no, though it's always refreshing to have one's knees freshly adjusted. If you have a few." Adamant sits down to let Melethos tinker. "How was your experience in the Cave? I quite like your horns... not that there was anything wrong with the old ones, mind you... just, I suppose a change is nice... you haven't changed your name again have you?" Dave, Adamant is just too precious.

Yeah, Adamant has a manner that is utterly direct and almost audacious, but never rude. Not even close.

Did Shorak pick any details about the dagger he found in the dragon's horde?

Did Shorak pick any details about the dagger he found in the dragon's horde? He is curious about the dagger he procurred from the dragon's horde. He squats down and examines the dagger, feeling its weight, tossing it in the air and catching it by the hilt. Holding it in his hand, Shorak changes his grip on the hilt several times to get a better feel for the shape of the hilt and how it best fits his hand. He can't help but smile. The dagger was the first weapon he learned to use. I wasn't clear on what Shorak was doing. You didn't mention attunement so I didn't assume. Shorak has already learned as much as he could about the dagger without attuning; the rest would come from attuning, which he can do now at any time if he sets aside a "short rest" during the day. Which, since you're already fully rested, just amounts to spending a couple of hours to un-attune with the short sword and attune with Liquire.

Sorry, I should have been specific. I'll look for a time when he can attempt to attune to the dagger.

Jeff, can Kal choose not to try to break the restraint and cast a spell instead?

Yup! If an attack roll is involved, it’s just disadvantaged, per the restrained condition.

I'm going to see how Belarin's spell resolves before I post for Melethos, if that's okay for Jeff. If not, let me know and I'll post Mel's action right away.

Oh, the Sharn Inquisitive would surely give Thul a hard time, but the Voice of Breland would positively have a real field day with him. Especially him, a Karrn!
