Jeff, it was so long ago that I don't remember it and I'm having trouble finding it....do you have a quick link to when Kal went under the temple? I'd like to read up on that again, but I don't remember it much at all, and I feel like it could come up again now that we're back.

Sorry about the potion misunderstanding. Can we just say that we stop to pick up a dozen potions on the way to our next destinations or would you rather role play it.

Sort of depends on where you choose to go. But generally speaking, yup, we can make it a quick detour. If you guys choose the Jorasco enclave, and don't intend to do any investigations there and just be straight-up customers...easy-peasy.

When Adamant greets Kal and Streko, but not him he just shrugs. The warforged has seemed a bit distracted since their return to Stormreach and certainly a little anxious to come to the temple. Shorak takes no offense. The dark half-elf does have a tendency to blend into the background without really trying. Ooops... Sorry, that was my (David) bad. I just lost track of where Shorak was. We'll just push forward with Adamant being distracted... Sorry.

No worries. I thought it added some seasoning to the story. Also, Shorak isn't going to have much to say or do for the rest of our time in the temple anyway.

This is my favorite out-of-context sentence today.

I actually started searching for the reference before I realized it was a joke.

That's just it, it's not a joke. It's a real purchase Belarin made for personal reasons.

I'm thinking Adamant will ask Aven if he wants to come along with the group... hey, if Kal can have a little girl follow him everywhere... I'm not looking to expand the group necessarily but I can't see Adamant leaving Aven alone at this point either. If any of the players (or the DM) don't like the idea, I'll drop it. Adamant will talk to Aven but not invite him. If any of the characters object, well, we'll get to that in game...

Oh, don't worry about me, Dave. I'm prepared to run with anything. Every NPC, monster, location, or object you guys come across are like little potential Checkhov's guns. If you take a moment to observe and interact with it, they'll go somewhere and do something. If you pass it by, then it was just scenery after all. To me that's the absolute best part of D&D.

Where are your Nuclear Wessels? I know. Not that Chekhov. But I had to do it.

Re: holy water... Adamant's not really a throwing kind of guy... I'm not sure he's the best person to carry flasks. He could carry them though if that helps... but I don't see him using it... especially now that he can make a holy avenger! Wow! That is awesome! Now he's unstoppable!!!

I'm pretty sure Shorak has the best ranged attack bonus, so it makes sense for him to carry the bulk of the holy water.

Yeah, Kal took one for a just in case, but he should generally be pretty far away from where he'd need to be throwing things at anyone.

Sorry, guys. I had meant to post yesterday morning before leaving for the weekend but events conspired against.
Question for when I return: Did Shorak and the gang still intend to detour to the House Joraso enclave for healing potions? They'll sell the common variety (2d4+2 hit points) for 50 gp each.

I'm in favor of healing potions. I suspect we'll be needing them soon.

Note where the Kundarak enclave is and where the Jorasco enclave is on the map. You sure you want to backtrack?

Also, am I remembering right: the group's intent is to go on these errands, then return to the Cornerstone Inn, or are you going from there to...the lighthouse? I'm just asking because crossing the city can take a while, especially in the heavy weather. So hours will be going by. I don't know if there's a sense of urgency for your actions or not.
