I believe he leveled after the big fight with the tree. It was a while ago. At the time you said none of it would kick in until after the long rest, so I didn't write most of it down.

Don't forget, Condign is also poisoned. The necklace is the only thing keeping him alive.

Streko is all out of spell slots. I would say that if a short rest was taken, using nonmagical means, Streko being a Jorasco heir skilled with Medicine, could attempt to minimize the effects of the poison. But beyond that, magic is needed.

Adamant does have +5 medicine but I think we decided that it couldn't help at this point... Saddly, he's out of spell slots and has used all his lay on hands (which can also de-poison) until we long-rest.
He did give his healing potion to Shorak but I don't think he's officially used it yet.

Nope, Shorak will hold on to it, in case someone needs it more than him before they get back to Stormreach.

I recently discovered that at level 7, Condign should have learned two more maneuvers. After considered thought, I chose Riposte and Trip Attack. This made Shield Master less useful. Therefore, I opted to drop the feat and increase Condign's Constitution by +2. Big Red now has 80 hit points. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using proboards

As to the poisoning, Condign is stable for the moment, thanks to Histra's necklace. It's Kal I am worried about. Eight hours of rest could do significant damage to him. And then there is Belarin. None of know what wearing those lich bracers for extended periods will do to him.
I, for one, am in favor of the long rest, provided Kal doesn't die too horrible a death. Fully rested and healed, we are pretty formidable. And I would like to see if that light is the sphinx's mate. Rescuing her could put us far ahead in the search for the Eye.

For the record, I'm not trying to hijack the group. I'm just playing Kal. If someone really objects, feel free to throw something at him.

If Shorak would attempt to get to the next quay, past the Yugoloth, how close would he have to pass him? Also, which option does Shorak think puts him in the least vulnerable position, the wreck and mast or the next quay over? I'm just having trouble picturing the surroundings.

I can't tell you about which is the least vulnerable. Shorak doesn't know the risks of either course except what he guesses. One involves moving completely out in the open (and hopefully invisible) but requires him to travel further and the other involves some climbing and concealment (but also invisible) but not more traveling. I've spoiled you guys with maps. I just haven't had time to work up a map for this part. I really, really want to try to limit grid maps to battles anyway. Okay this is going to make DE look like some sort of old DOS text-based game (which, hey, they were cool), but this is the best visual I can come up with in a pinch. I can only hope it translates okay. It's probably a jumbled mess when viewed on mobile. This is not to scale by any stretch. This represents the shoreline. Somwhere to the right would be the opposite side, where the flat land hits a sort of cliff face; I'm not indicating that par here, though.) The parts that jut out to the left are quays (basically piers/jetties of rock). S is Shorak and Y is the yugoloth. In order to properly see where the light is coming from, Shorak would need to reach quay #1. Currently he's near quay #2, which is just before the yugoloth's position. The # # & & stuff represents shipwreck detritus. The one nearest him has a mast angled up high that he could try to climb to see past quay #1 and therefore not have to go there at all. Or he can just try to go around the yugoloth (inland) to reach quay #1. Hope that helps. Of course, he can try something else you think of. Click the attachment to see it "full size." Attachments:

I'm going to copy this amazing graphic on my 5.25-inch floppy disk and... oh wait, the image is too big.

Too big? But I sprang for the extra 16k memory for my Timex Sinclair! But, yes, we are map-spoiled... graphics in general are awesome in this campaign!

Just for perspective, when Ken and I get together in Connecticut, this is the typical graphic quality... what we like to call a "Karl Map"...

Yeah, I think any sort of reference to give us perspective is helpful, especially when we have to make spatially based decisions. It doesn't have to be high detail or to scale, but just to know where things are in relation to other things is a huge help.

My concern in that, request, Darren, is that you might rely on such a visual and therefore not even try to determine visual arrangements based on the words. I try to drop in distance estimates, etc.

Thanks, Dave. But it was Ken that gave me the opening. He's been playing Lich Lord Belarin with so much flare and passion, he's made participating in this exchange a true pleasure.

Thanks, Brian. I've enjoyed this temporary (?!) mental detour quite a bit. But, really, kudos to you for bringing down the emotional hammer. In my eyes, Belarin does view Condign as his moral compass.

Two questions, Jeff:
1 - How far away is the yugoloth? 2 - Has Kal's Spell Sniper feat taken effect, yet?
I ask because if it has, Kal can start to hit the yugoloth with Fire Bolts when he's 240 feet away, meaning that even if the yugoloth moves 60 feet per round, Kal could get off several good shots before the yugoloth even reaches us. Roughly two hundred feet, per this post. And yes, Kal leveled before everyone else and then there was a short rest, so he's now got all his class features from that leveling. Everyone else still has to take a short rest first to get their class features (including feats). And Brian, yes, Condign has and can use two feats. He'd have gotten those at 4th and 6th levels. But was the Shield Master the latest one he was going with, or am I misremembering (remind me, because I have to write things down to remember them)? At 8th level, he gets a feat. But he hasn't had a short rest since leveling, so whatever that latest feat is, he can't use it quite yet.

Jeff, Condign opted for raising his Con by two rather than choosing a feat. He did not take Shield Master. In fact, I removed it from his Google Doc so we wouldn't get confused.

Jeff, because I know stated actions are important, it's important to me that Kal know as soon as he perceives that the yugoloth is moving towards them (if he does).

Hey, guys. A quick question for everyone except Dave B. (And Jeff, of course.)
Shorak is off the grid. I know in "game time" he hasn't been gone long, but I'm curious as to why he hasn't returned yet, and I'm starting to wonder if he isn't in some sort of trouble. How long do we wait before we mount a search party?
Jeff, if you consider this meta-gaming, and you would prefer this discussion happen in the game thread, say so and I'll work it in there.

Yeah, we mistakenly forgot to discuss a time limit before Shorak left.
My first question would be, how long has it actually been in game-time since he went?
