I'm still feeling it out. It's a little clunky but it seems to work well. I advise experimenting with it a little bit in some posts, if you can. We'll give it an unofficial try together.

Hey, Joe, I just remembered that Mass Healing Word is a bonus action (I was wrong when I commented earlier), so - in case you didn't know - Streko *does* get his full action this round. And that's a GOOD thing. ;-)

Yeah, it's not obvious. if you look at the result there's a little cube in front of it; I think it's supposed to be a d6. If you click it you get a new page and down at the bottom of that if you just select the text in the Result and Link BBCode.

For what it's worth, Joe, I don't think this is the time to hold back on anything. Most of us have maybe one round left in us before we're dead. We're outnumbered and separated. I think it's time for everyone to use whatever they've got to try to live through this fight, and then we'll figure out how to either get out of here or find somewhere to rest.

I agree with Darren, I wouldn't hold back. But it is a judgement call... spell slots are one of those things you have to think about using carefully, but actions aren't. If you have an actioni this turn you should do something with it... if not a spell then attack a head... but if you don't use the action that opertunity is gone.

You may want to use spell slots wisely but you don't have to use spells as wisely, since preparing a spell makes it available for the whole day, so long as you have spell slots to power them. That's what I don't think Joe understands. In any case, I'm not sure he's going to be reading the Q&A stuff here much.

Jeff, I think we covered this before, but I can't remember....do ranged attack rolls for spells count as "ranged weapon attacks"? In other words, when making a ranged attack roll for a spell, does Kal apply the modifier from the Bracers of Perfect Shot?

Nope. Weapons only. It's about traditional aiming, not magically aiming with Charisma, Intelligence, etc.

Sorry, I had already answered your question in my head...

Now in real life:

A Clear Path to the Target
To target something, you must have a clear path to it, so it can’t be behind total cover.
If you place an area of effect at a point that you can’t see and an obstruction, such as a wall, is between you and that point, the point of origin comes into being on the near side of that obstruction.

This is specifically why the Wall of Fire spell says the wall is opaque. Meant to block line of sight.

And if I somehow allowed you to make a ranged attack to somewhere you couldn't see, the chance of hitting would be poor indeed. Like a shot in the dark.

Yes, definitely. I actually lost about 20 minutes of work this morning ust as I was adding that part because I accidentally hit the Back button. I will re-add it when I get to work!

Hey Jeff, I don't see that Histra took her turn the last round. I thought she went after Shorak & Streko or is her commanding the skeletons her turn?

You're right, Dave. Because I forgot to list her name in the Initiative order that round. Thanks for pointing that out, that will at least give her some extra movement.

Histra really screwed me up with her move. I was intentionally trying to stay at that one spot next to the wall so that if any of the heads approached Kal, only one would be able to attack him without getting burned up.....
