Jeff, I'll assume Syrdan's Religion check didn't yield anything? Correct. So never you mind.

Jeff, are the broken coffin boxes considered difficult terrain?

Yes! I meant to mention that. They're to be moved into and out of awkwardly.

Btw, I also need to get into melee with the big K (yes, I do feel stupid for not putting that together, thanks for asking). I'm not going to be able to maintain my divine challenge if I can't stay adjacent. If I can't maintain the challenge I can't force him to attack me.

Holy Smokes, our side just rolled three natural 20s. Amazing. Well done folks.

I was going to say the same thing. Of course, the roll before that one for Streko was a natural 1. So it all balances out I suppose. I just hope the dice roller isn't broken.

Oh, I'm sure the dice roller will make me pay for your good fortune.
I'm assuming we're splitting this round like we did with the last one? I was going to hold off on posting actions until after the enemies had gone....

I believe so. At least, until the numbers of baddies gets more manageable.

Hey, guys ... critical hits in 4E mean that you automatically deal maximum damage. No need to roll for it.

Okay, part 1 of round 4 is up. Hoo-boy, does my brain hurt.
Despite the shifting in fortunes with Kal, I must say, you guys are doing pretty good. Of course, it helps using up daily powers and action points! But the power choices have been excellent. Like Streko's use of Weal and Woe, it's well-timed. It weakened the vampires' attacks, so Shorak, Streko, and Histra took only half damage from their attacks. And so on.

Don't forget, Vampires #4 and #5 ended their turn adjacent to Syrdan. They both take 5 points of radiant damage from the Avenging Echo attack Syrdan used the previous round.

It sure does. And you don't know how often a +1 or -1 has changed things on my end when I'm working out the numbers.

Darren, just hang tight. If Kal is back in action before the end of the round, I'll give you an opportunity to act before moving on to the next round.

I will try to deal with the Emerald Claw soldier as long as the vampire that's been attacking me is no longer an issue.
Also, Shorak only had the one action point to spend, is that right?

Right, Dave. Each time PCs take an extended rest (what usually amounts to sleeping at night) they start the day with 1 action point, no matter how many they had or didn't have previously. For every two encounters (battles, mostly), a new action point is earned. So you can, in theory, earn a few action points over the course of one day, if you have a very busy day. But once you go to bed at night, you wake up with just 1.

If Vampire #5 does finally snuff it as a result of Condign's action and Syrdan's opportunity attack, Belarin can teleport out of there and take care of Krez as my Lord High Warlordlock Condign commands! ( Jeff: If Improved Misty Step kicks in, please move Belarin to be 1 square north of Grandpa Munster.) If not, then Belarin has a vampire in his face, thus making ranged attacks a problem, but he shall not shirk. (OK, maybe shirk a little...)

I'm hoping the Inspiring Word brings him back a bit.
I'm trying to set Condign up to be the big gun. Hopefully, shielding him as best I can. I considered tossing the Bodygaurd at Streko to keep the healer in the game, but Condign is also a healer and I'm hoping we can keep him in the game longer.
If none of this makes sense and people really object, I can re-work my post. I know I'm burning through abilities pretty quick but I don't think holding back is going to work here. I think we need to toss everything we've got at this.

Dave: It sounds good to me. Nice round!
Joe: Whether or not you meant to post Streko's last actions prematurely, you may want to consider shifting Streko 1 square northeast as his move action. Not only would it get Streko out of biting distance of Krez, but it might open a hole for Syrdan to get into melee with Major Rutger Hauer (as he's been itching to).

Dave: It sounds good to me. Nice round! Thanks Ken... I am running low on tricks but we'll see how far this takes us. Next round I've got an encounter power that will give us all a few temp hp, then I'm pretty much down to at wills ( mind you one of those is radiant). I have this vision of Condign being the last one standing surrounded by crew men.

Jeff,
I think Syrdan gets a free basic attack against Vampire #5 as a result of Condign's hammer and anvil attack, as Brian described. It could make a difference.
Good luck with the flooding!

Jeff, a few questions...
One, I'm dumb and don't know what's involved in a saving throw. Is it just a d20 with no modifiers?
Two, Kal dropped both of his weapons. Is it a standard action to pick up each one?
Three, what is the effect of "weakened"? It may have an effect on what actions I choose to take.

One, I'm dumb and don't know what's involved in a saving throw. Is it just a d20 with no modifiers? Yes. You want to roll a 10 or higher for a successful saving throw. Two, Kal dropped both of his weapons. Is it a standard action to pick up each one? It's a minor action to pick up an item. Three, what is the effect of "weakened"? It may have an effect on what actions I choose to take. Per the PHB: While a creature is weakened, its attacks deal half damage. However, two kinds of damage that it deals are not affected: ongoing damage and damage that isn’t generated by an attack roll.
