Dave, what do you want to do? Should Adamant grab Syrdan, or should Kal do it? I've got him... Kal's pretty beat up... Let's get everyone out of here...

Works for me. Jeff, Kal's actions will not change except that he will move as far down the hallway as he can, avoiding opportunity attacks where possible.

Jeff, I just saw your note about assisting with Histra's Bluff check. Does that use up a standard action? Is it a minor action? If it's the latter, I will modify my post to have Kal help.

It's a matter of speaking, in this particular case, so a free action. You can speak/shout while moving. Post it soon, or else I'll need to post my own update tonight.

So would first aid (non-magical Heal skill) patch up The elf-girl? Adamant's bugging me to use lay hands on her, but Kal's really hurting too. Thoughts?

Is it too boasting-y to say that I love my new power, divine bodyguard?? Spread the damage so devastating blows are only painful..

Dave, I'd say that is one of the most useful powers I've seen so far.

Yup, a regular Heal check can be attempted to stabilize her, but it's a harder DC than normal to hit.

When I post later today, Belarin will make his presence and Lerrhana's situation known to everyone. I may attempt a Heal check, but for Belarin, it's a long shot.

Ugh. Really wishing I hadn't used up all of my powers that let me shift people out of the way.
Joe, does Streko have any healing powers left? We could really use them to get out of here....

Nope. Already used it. He's been busy being Krez's pincushion.

Joe, does Streko have any healing powers left? We could really use them to get out of here.... I did a quick search: Streko used his first Healing Word on Kal and the second on Syrdan, so he's tapped out.* But Belarin doesn't know that. Still, if Adamant can't get over here quickly, Belarin will attempt a Heal check on his next round. Hopefully, the Intimidate result (backed by Belarin's creepy "materialization") will be sufficient to get the Claw guys to stand down. *There are certain cleric attacks/utilities that also allow allies to use a healing surge, but I'm not sure which ones Streko knows or has had to use during the battle.

My concern right now is that if we get into a pitched battle with the Claw soldiers while trying to get off the ship, Adamant may be carrying Syrdan with one arm and Kal with the other.
I'm thinking that Kal is going on Total Defense and just trying to make his way out, while maybe making a few Bluff and/or Intimidate checks to try to keep everyone else from joining the fight. Unfortunately, we don't have too many other options.

I intend to lay hands on the elf woman if no one gets a heal check in there before me. But I am blocked right now...
If someone gets there first, I'll lay hands on Kal. Next time I may think about using divine bodyguard on Kal!

Well, I did put Kal in harm's way pretty early on, but that largely has to do with the fact that none of his powers worked out the way I had hoped during this fight. Which is unfortunate, because he could have been very useful instead of being a burden.

"Yet I will confess," Adamant's voice has a subtle metallic grinding quality to it now, "there is a great deal of anger in me for how unjustly Krez treated this girl. She was helpless when he ordered damage upon her. I was never close enough to lay blade to him; if you wish your flesh to stand surrogate for his," Adamant lifts his bloody longsword, "I will satisfy myself with that." Oh, that's nicely done, Dave.

He did use it. But I'm willing to say that between that conversation and boarding the Patriot, there was a 5-minute rest.

Oh damn, I forgot about the non-vampire guys in that room...! Oh well.
Immediate thoughts after Jeff's update: We gotta leave!
Joe and Dave W: Streko and Adamant can get to a spot right behind Belarin and Lerrhana this round and do the healing thing. Belarin will guard this round (I'm in good shape with hit points), then Adamant and Condign can join me in the rear guard, while Syrdan and Kal -- both of whom will drop if we get into a fight in this hallway -- and Streko grab Lerrhana and dive over the side with Belarin, Adamant, and Condign a round behind.

Sorry gang ... Out late on an impromptu work team-building offsite.... Aka bitching with the wounded souls I work with... Very necessary...
Anyway, is it possible to delay adamant's turn until after kal. If he can safely jump ship I'll move to lay hands on elf-girl...

Unless Kal does a double move, I don't think he's getting off the ship this round. And if I remember correctly, double move counts as a standard action, and so does total defense, and I think it's probably more important that Kal stay on defense than try to move faster and risk more opportunity attacks. Worst case scenario, if he gets knocked down now, he's surrounded by allies and close enough to the edge that hopefully someone can pick him up and throw him overboard.

Unless, of course, someone can take out (or otherwise move) the Claw soldier that is standing next to Kal right now. Then he'd have a clear shot to the railing and could double move without any opportunity attacks. Does anyone have a way to shift him?

I thought about that. But Belarin used up any powers that could shift or daze a while ago.

Nicely done this round, folks. Things were looking nasty for a sec. ...although, Brian, you could use one Move action to shift, then another Move action to head up the stairs. You'll still provoke opportunity attacks, but hey, two is better than three! If Condign doesn't move, I'm worried the Claw guys will cut off his retreat up the stairs.

I think Condign should just go for it and do what Ken said. Anyone who can take a parting shot at the Claw soldiers should do so and then get over the edge. If Adamant and Condign can hold the line until Belarin gets over the railing, I think we can all be out by the end of 2 rounds.
Jeff, can Kal see the Emerald Claw soldier NE of Condign? In other words, could Kal target him from his current position?

I agree just shift 1 E then dash and risk the attacks... Remember Adamnts going to take half that damage... I think we can make it...
At this point I think Adamant takes rear guard... And everyone into the sea...
