To expedite things, and since I already posted about Condign feeling better, I posted just now assuming the one hour rest has taken place.

oops.. I misread that completely... I thought Histra had nodded to Belarin and Kal but invited all of us... well, I guess Adamant still isn't completely recovered from that dent on the head...
Or I could delete/replace the post if that's preferred...

Busy walking through a zoo and seeing friends for dinner in Boston. I'll post Belarin's juicy comments when I'm back at the hotel tonight.

Kal mutters under his breath, "Yes, let's all provoke the wraith. Excellent plan..." He maintains a defensive posture, but does not address the wraith directly. Condign wraps his cloak tightly around his battered body. "I hold my honor in my sword and in my shield," he whispers, his eyes cutting to Kalarin's. "Where do you hold yours?" Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using proboards "RIGHT HERE!" Kal yells, grabbing his crotch.

Kal watches the apparition depart, then his eyes grow distant, watching a scene from long ago. When he speaks, his voice is quiet but steady. "I was on the Talentan Plains during the War. I saw many Halflings fight and die during that time. Did you know that when things are darkest, they sing?" Kal begins a soft melody: "Fear not, my brothers, We'll feast again soon." The skeleton soldier wields a spear made of sharpened bone. As it impales the young Halfling, the point penetrates through the Halfling's back, piercing the heart of the girl who rushes up behind him."Fear not, my sisters, The plates are all full." The massive blade held by the warforged tears through the family of Halflings as easily as carving the NameDay roast."Our blades may be broken But our backs are unbent." The Karrnathi soldier stalks between the tents. His armor is slick with blood, none of it his. The light of the torch in his left hand glints off the steel of the longsword in his right. He laughs as he presses the torch against the tent where the family is sheltered."And the wine is still flowing At the feast where we'll meet" Kal draws a deep, unsteady breath, then stands straight and watches for further danger. __________________________ My lyrics are lame. Sorry. It started out okay in my head...Don't apologize, Darren. That was a mighty fine post. Well done!

Yeah, Darren, that was great!
Can I assume the orange text is in halfling and the italics are Kal's thoughts?

Jeff, what is that question mark spot to our right, standing in the pathway? Is that the woman spirit or some new and deadlier meanace?

I never stopped to think, but should Condign have only taken one of the potions and kept the other for an emergency? I'm not sure how much healing they do and he still had that diseased condition.

I hope my in-game post helps, Brian? No, regular healing potions aren't powerful, they only restore 10 hit points on a good roll. But that's enough to stabilizing a dying person or bring you that much further away fro 0 hit points. More importantly, when you're strapped for clerical spell slots, healing potions are a boon.

Adamant transfers the vial from his heavy metal hand to the elf's graceful one. I know it seems like a small thing to you guys, but I really appreciate statements like this. I look for action cues, so it gets frustrating when actions are merely implied through dialogue. But Dave stating that Adamant hands over the vial is exactly what I look for to actually make the transfer from one's inventory to another. Just as one example. Thanks.

Can Tangat swim? I would assume Kal would know this already, hence not asking in character... Sure, at least as well as a regular dog. Doggy paddling.

Adamant struggles through the water and finally accepts that he can not stay near Belarin who appears to be chiefly concerned with Histra. The warforged tries to quiet his fears. He finds the slight weight of Streko is reassuring. Being of service always brightens the moment and this particular service, colored with the memories of similar rides with young Cyran in High Walls, generates the smallest flicker of joy. Still he remains silent as Histra instructed. Apparently Adamant is unable to keep up with Belarin... It's cool, probably makes sense even...
Sorry, Dave. I sometimes miss these little remarks about placement in the posts. Sometimes it's contradictory, like when two people say they're going to lead or two people say they'll take the rear. I have to make a judgement call. The foibles of play-by-post!

Ohhh, the tricky DM and his moral dilemmas! ;-)
Hey, Jeff, Belarin's Eldritch Sight is still going on. Does he see anything different when he looks at the "helpless prisoners"?
