Streko follows quietly, waiting until they have achieved some distance for him to feel safe about removing the child from his haversack again. When he does, he holds the child close, rocking and comforting as best as he can.

Shorak is more than ready to quit this place, but continues to be the last to follow. Always keeping an eye out for danger at their backs.

Watching the others, Condign nods at Adamant. "After you." Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using proboards Adamant gently lays his hand on Condign's shoulder, " Thank you, my friend." The warforged pauses a moment; his blue eye gems appear to gaze at the tiefling. Perhaps trying to gauge his friend's condition. Or perhaps Adamant's own condition necessitates a pause. " We will be quit of this place soon. We'll return to our world, rest, heal, and decide what to do next." Adamant sets off...

Histra leads the group on again. But rather than doubling back on one of the paths by which you entered this clearing, she leads you along the bank of the skinny moat running around the building out of which she’d just come out of. The narrow path that you step out onto behind the ruin has a narrow trickling stream flowing alongside it, and it’s pretty clear that Histra is following the path of the water now. Toward the Drowned Gate.
“Do not touch the water,” says Histra softly.
As she walks, she unslings her haversack and starts to sort through it. One by one, she hands Belarin seven potion vials—each one is black glass and the hue of the liquid inside is obscured. “For quick healing. Give them out as you see fit.”
Then she produces two more vials, these marked with labels—one label has some sort of scribble on it, the other a skull. She waits for Belarin to sort the seven first.
Ken: Your choice to dole out the healing potions. (Though feel free to talk about it first.)

Belarin takes the vials and considers for a moment. "Condign, Adamant... you two are our bulwarks, and you're certainly not recovered from your injuries -- Condign, you especially. You look like yesterday's fish. I think you should each get two.
"Kal, one for you. Shorak, you seem in good shape, but you should have a potion anyway. You're the nimblest among us, so you can get to the fallen quickly.
"Good Streko, you seem healthy and I sense you'd reject a potion if I gave it to you. You're annoyingly selfless that way." He smiles at his friend. "So for the seventh potion...
"You, Histra." He offers the vital to her. "Take it. I'm much better now, and I will no longer be 'reckless' while we're here. I... we... would be literally be lost without you." He places it in her hand.
He turns to the others. "Any disagreements?"

"None from me," Condign says quietly and drinks the potions. He feels the throbbing ache in his gut redece, and his breathing becomes easier. His hands flexes, the thick muscles of his arms bunching, and he frees his sword from its scabbard. After a few cautious practice swings, his lips spread into a smile. "I am ready."
He turns his attention to Histra. "Is it safe to return this?" he asks, pointing to the necklace around his neck. "I do not wish to wear it a moment longer than necessary."

Kal takes the vial and places it in the pouch at his belt. "For later," he says. Then he nods and says, "No objections." Lowering his voice, he mutters, "Except, maybe, that it was me who managed to find Histra...and you...but, sure, we'd be lost without her....."

Belarin hears Kal's muttered comment and says, "That was YOU?!" He suddenly steps over and hugs Kalarian. It may even be an honest, non-ironic hug. After a moment, he steps back and says, "Thank you, Kal." Pause. "You're still only getting one potion."

Kal waves his arms defensively and scrunches up his face as though Belarin was emitting a foul odor. "Get off of me, you crazy Warlock!" As Belarin backs away and Kalarian speeds up to get away from him, a small smile forms on his lips.

Belarin hands out the vials. When he holds one out to Histra, she looks at it but does not take it. “I am safer in this world than you are.” Condign finds the potion to be almost tasteless; just a little bitter. But he does feel a little better. The pain of his wounds softens. "Is it safe to return this?" he asks, pointing to the necklace around his neck. "I do not wish to wear it a moment longer than necessary." “Longer is necessary,” Histra says sternly, “If you remove the periapt, you will almost certainly collapse, and you will struggle to walk, breathe, act, or even think. The infection of the corpse-hound’s bite is still with you. The periapt suspends it while you wear it. A few more hours and you’d be dead as well. Keep it on if you wish to live. Do not remove it until you have had the infection purged.” She gestures toward Adamant and Streko, then keeps walking, looking ahead again. With the next two potions in hand, Histra is mindful of the conversation between Kal and Belarin. “Kalarian, you take those. Keep them, or give them out as you see fit.” She indicates the potion marked with a cloud. “In dire need, he who drinks this will assume a temporary and gaseous state—he will be nigh invulnerable as such. The effect will last for an hour.” She then indicates the other one, marked with a skull. “This one will give the drinker strong, temporary resistance to some of the energies of this plane—and the touch of necromantic beings.” She hands them to Kal to do with as he sees fit. Condign heals 2d4+2=6 hit points.
I’ve added the potions to your character sheets, in accordance to Belarin’s sorting. I can change it if there is protest. Each potion heals 2d4+2 hit points.

"I have no objections, Belarin. Your choices are excellent. "Lady Histra, I was told by Torcer that the child I am safeguarding is to be buried someplace where her spirit may be set free and no trapped in this place.. Would you be...kind enough...to let me know where this act can be accomplished so that she may know some peace?"

Shorak takes the potion Belarin hands him with a nod of thanks and stows it away in a safe place somewhere on his person.
Hearing Streko's comment, Shorak pipes in. "If I remember correctly, you were to just lay the infant down outside of the hedge maze and her spirit would find it's own way." He turns to Histra. "Does that sound plausible to you?"

"Thank you Belarin," Adamant whispers, "I will carry one of these for now. But I would like Streko to carry the other. I'm still not certain I will be allowed to leave here in the end. It seems too great a risk for both."Hearing Streko's comment, Shorak pipes in. "If I remember correctly, you were to just lay the infant down outside of the hedge maze and her spirit would find it's own way." He turns to Histra. "Does that sound plausible to you?" "Well, if this place is a reflection and metaphore of our world, it's does seem possible. The spirit is trapped in a maze and not in a condition to move free on it's own. It needs someone to help it." Adamant seems pleased to be working on a puzzle. "It's entirely possible it's not the spirit of a child at all. Perhaps it's a reflection of a soul that is infantile but the owner might have been an adult."

Kal places the cloud marked vial in his left hand and the skull in his right. The former he extends towards Streko, the latter towards Condign. "For our healer," he says to Streko, "and our protector," he says to Condign. "Now, for the love of all the gods, can we please get the hell out of here?"

Histra gives Kal a disdainful look and moves away from him as she walks back to the lead position beside Belarin. She withdraws one more thing from her haversack, although given its heft, Belarin is sure it contains more still. She holds up and looks at a pair of thin, grey-metal bracelets etched with arcane writing. Speaking only to Belarin she says, “These compromise the Lich’s Aspect. When both are worn, necromantic shadows will enrobe the wearer and they will appear, in all ways that matter, to be a creature of considerable power. This may engender fear or wariness in many of this realm’s transients and , and respect in its denizens. But it should not be used lightly, and it should not be worn—for a moment—outside of Dolurrh. Give them to who you will. It should not be used by the warforged or the halfling.” She hands the bracelets to Belarin. "We should be reaching the Gate soon," she announces to the group. "Do as I say, and please, do not question me in front of its guardians."

Belarin looks at the bracelets with a mixture of curiosity and dread. Then he takes them. "Walking in dark shadows while boasting of my power has been a habit of mine for years...and I've developed a healthy respect for necromancy. I'll hold on to these. Thank you, Histra."

As they walk, Adamant stays near Belarin. He pulls out the vial with the healing potion and hands it to the human, "I think it best if you carry this... no, before you protest hear me out... I am not constructed like you fleshy persons. Healing magics are less potent with my people... I think the magic has a hard time figuring out what is damaged when it's stone and wood... My Lady is generous when I use healing on myself but other healing magic is only partially useful."
"If I fall again and you can find no better use for it, perhaps you could use it to bring me back. But if we are all injured it would seem wasteful to use this on me when it could do more for one of you."
It just occurred to me that warforged only gain half the hp from healing though Jeff kindly gave Adamant full healing when Adamant casts it on himself. So for Adamant this potion is mostly going to be useful to bring him back when he's been knocked to 0; which, of course, he can't do for himself.

Finally, he says, "I agree, Adamant. Let's give it to Shorak."

As the party is walking, the labyrinth as hushed as it always has been, with only the sound of your footfalls (mostly Adamant’s) to mark the time. Histra keeps a brisk pace as she winds this way and then with a purposeful stride.
And then there is a rumble in the blackness above. Histra pauses and looks up, gives Belarin a look of mild alarm, then keeps going. “The weather in Eberron rarely impacts the weather here,” she says. “I wouldn’t really say this plane has weather, as we understand it. It must be particularly severe in Stormreach right now.”
Despite the distant rumble of thunder, there is no rain.
