Me, too, but how do we keep up our pretense? Does Nerrin go to the Black Freighter? If so, why are Kal and Nerrin going there together? We need to get our stories straight.

It seems to me that Kal and Belarin are the key characters here: Belarin has the map, and Kal wants it. We can come up with a pretense for all of us to head over to the Black Freighter: there may be a competing bid there for the map, and Kal wants to be there in case he is outbid. Or some such thing. That would allow us all to travel together.
Opinions?

Freighter filled with vampire friends... Sounds like Adamant's idea of a party! In.

I think the visit to the Black Freighter should be led by "Nerrin" and his bodyguards, under the guise of "I've been getting too much unwanted attention lately. I've heard that you might be willing to act as a go-between and help me weed out the unsavory types." He'd offer a commission, a fee based on the percentage of the map's sale. Anyone else who comes along would stay a block or so away, with perhaps Syrdan -- as one of our stealthiest -- being closest. Under no circumstances, though, would Lerrhana be anywhere near this.
I fear that any other approach would either lead to a fight that we don't need right now or -- more importantly -- possibly threaten the entire con.
If the White Raven is as good as we've heard, he's heard the map rumors by now.

So Kal would follow Nerrin to ensure his investment?

Yeah, although Nerrin wouldn't know that Kalarian was following him. (nudge nudge wink wink) If questioned about it by someone else, Kal could say exactly what you just said, Darren.

Sounds like a plan.
Jeff, do you need us to state all of that in-game, or can we jump to the Freighter?

And likewise, "Mallan" would be following Kal and Nerrin to see who else is *cough* interested in the map *cough*. Syrdan would actually be hanging back, not too far from the Freighter. I don't suppose anyone has whispering wind, or some other message-styled cantrip that could be used for a signal? It'd be nice to have some sort of signal when if the proverbial poop hits the fan inside the Black Freighter. (Also, side note ... the Black Freighter? Seriously? I hope WotC is paying Alan Moore some sort of royalty ...)

What of Lerrhana? She aims to be sticking with Syrdan.
Black Freighter...take it up with Keith Baker. ;D

Much as Syrdan would probably want Lerrhana to lay low somewhere safe, he knows that if he tells her that, the odds of her listening are pretty small. Also, if she's by herself, and if Krez is capable of tracking her down ... being alone probably isn't the best idea. So Syrdan's fine with the two of them sticking together. And should I meet up with Keith again someday, I'll certainly mention the Freighter to him.

Kal could probably make use of Ghost Sound to create some sort of signal. He generally uses it to amplify his voice, but he could just as easily use it create an actual noise.

Darren:
Very funny stuff, Darren. However, I doubt a bunch of Karns are enough to make Big Red feel discomfort. A gaggle of goblins, perhaps, but a cadre of Karns? Nope. ;D

And then, I guess Syrdan cuts off Kal's arm or something like that.... You have some, um, interesting thoughts on what Syrdan's like, Darren.

I couldn't think of who would be Obi Wan in that situation. And Syrdan's got a cool sword, so that's kinda like a light saber, right? Errr...I haven't been sleep well lately.

Okay, we're in the square across from the Black Freighter. Someone called the White Raven may or may not be inside. We can knock on the door and politely ask if he's home. Or we can just march up and demand an audience.
Oh, and we're surrounded by a group of tense, suspicious Karns who may attack at any moment.
I don't envision asking for an audience. So, our best bet may be creating a reason for the White Raven to want to see us. Possibly a spat between Kal and Nerrin, and one of them throws out the name of the Raven. Cause enough of a stink and the Raven may summon us. Since both "hostile" parties would be involved, we would be kept together.
What do you think?

So, what's the plan? Obviously Belarin and Company need to go into the Black Freighter, but I'd sure love to have Kal, Streko and Condign in there first. I don't know why exactly we should be first in; it just seems so "Kalarian" for him to saunter in ahead of the other group to garner the attention.

It was my intention, since Kal is not trying to hide the fact that he is following Nerrin, to allow them to go in first, then follow them in and loudly take a seat in the corner to watch them.

As a reminder, Kal is not trying in any way to hide his presence nor make it appear less than obvious that he is following Nerrin.
That said, he doesn't intend to do an awful lot at the Freighter except be there in case there is trouble. In Kal's mind, this part is less about the continued deception and more about gathering information on Krez without anyone getting killed.

I don't think the Claw guys are technically in the tavern yet, Darren. I think your pooch is just warning you they are coming.

Everyone else: Sorry to be hogging the conversation this week. But this does seem to be the reason we're here. Nonsense, the situation requires you to take the lead. Willow says kick his ass.

Kal's whole plan going in was just to watch, anyway. The story dictates what it dictates, and right now this is Belarin's moment. Don't apologize for that.
