Hey, Jeff, unless I'm misreading things, it looks like there are seven lacedons on the map, and two of them are labeled as #4.

Ah, I should have clarified. The green, live sahuagin (your allies) are labelled with an "S." The lacedons are the gray sahuagins also marked with an "S." So there are two 4s, but one's green (alive), one's gray (undead). ;D

Jeff, if Kal leaves the bubble but is not holding the pearl in his hand (it's in his pOcket. Say), what happens to the bubble?

Kal doesn't know, but the sahuagin shaman controlled it when he wasn't in the bubble, so there's obvious reason to think that the pearl existing the bubble is a problem. Whether there's a range issue, though, is anyone's guess.

Yup, not a problem. Adamant can benefit from that. Strictly speaking, he's taking a bunch of free actions mostly right now, as it is.

Okay...I need opinions from the group. I was considering having Kal move out of the bubble and next to the one remaining ghoul near us, then use his Thunder Leap ability, which would (hopefully) damage that ghoul, and then he would jump over to the two ghouls next to Adamant and (hopefully) hit both of them.
My concern is that I have no idea what will happen to the bubble if Kal does that. I also don't know how necessary it is since Streko is on his way over there and Kal can still attack one of the ghouls by Adamant from this range without moving.
Opinions?

Meanwhile, Darren, I'll post everything up to Kal's actions, in case that helps inform your decision.

Okay. Thanks, Jeff. I'm not trying to slow everything down or anything. It's just that we don't have the tactical advantage of playing at a tabletop where you can quickly alter your plans based on what's happened right before you.

Hand the thingamabob to Belarin. He's right next to Kal.

Just To be clear... On round 3 Adamant will be immobilized but will still get a save vs the immobilization, right?
So theoretically he might be able to act like a normal round on round 4 provided he makes the save at the end of round 3.
That sound right?
Also, too... Adamant isn't in the initiative order yet...
Btw, what an interesting and imaginative encounter... Good job!

Yes. On round 3 Adamant will be immobilized. At the end of his turn (roll Initiative now!) he can make a save to be rid of the condition (or someone else can do something to give him a save), but immobilization aside, for round 3 he can't do anything but go on total defense. Precisely. Good job to you, too.

Not that I want to turn down extra damage, Jeff, but I'm pretty sure Kal's attack only did 15 damage and not 28. 28 was his roll to hit, which was a critical. Max damage on Lightning Orb is 15.

Sheesh, that's the second time I've done that (and with the same number). I got the right damage in, but didn't write it out that way in my post...

Dave W., go ahead and roll Adamant's Initiative. I'll try and update tomorrow night. A bit exhausted tonight!

Jeff: I'm not in a good position to do a combat post until I get home Sunday night. If Belarin's turn comes up before then, I don't want to delay anything, so feel free to have Belarin use Eyebite (+7 vs Will) against the same ghoul that Kal & Streko have targeted, which I believe is #2.

Ken: Not an issue. I won't be able to do any combat posts (they're too intensive with only a half-slept mind) until Sunday night, late, or more likely, Monday morning. I'm still in Salem but will be back tonight.

Okey doke. I'm back.
Should I wait for Dave B to post Shorak's action (so that we can get the partial-round combat status from you) before posting Belarin's action?

That's up to you, Ken. I think I just needed Streko's action (which I have) and Shorak's. And I think this was Shorak's action for the next round.

Not from the chest. They're coming from just over the drop-off, the cliff-like shelf.

Yikes, no kidding. Who the heck knows? Google docs seems to undergo a lot of changes. Just bear with it for now. I'd rather not go and clean it all up and then have it shift right back to this.

My sheet still looks good. (Side note: Weeks ago, I downloaded a backup to my smartphone simply because I can't access Google Docs at work - go figure.)

I have a feeling it has something to do with the program I use to synchronize my work calendars with Google (and thereby synchronize them with my phone, iPad, and home computer). It seems to also synchronize my notes, and from Google's perspective, that meant Google Docs. That program got updated today, and it gave me an error when it went to sync the character sheet document. I'm guessing that as a result, it went and messed up the formatting for whatever reason.
At least it didn't delete it.....
As a test, I'd say maybe you could try making one or two format changes, and then we'll see if it messes up the next time the program syncs.
I'm not too worried about it. I can live with it not formatted, too.
