Dave B. : I hear you, but I'm not sure what to say. Nor do I have an alternative dice roller that we can use. It rolls high and low for me. I just tried some test Shorak d20 rolls and got: 4, 4, 17, 18, 16, 14, 18, 11. Seems decent to me. Hope I didn't "use" those good ones up for you, Dave.

Important reminder about Streko's weal and woe: The +2 bonus is to all attacks until the end of Streko's next turn. So if you've got those action points, this is a good time to use 'em! You'll get a bonus on both attacks. Dave B: This means you, too. Since Shorak goes after Streko, he could take advantage and get off another shot, if you were willing to modify your post.

Unless anyone sees a reason not to, I'm going to have Kal move the bubble this round so that Adamant, Condign and Sarquaa are all inside of it. If I understand it correctly, that will put Kal at the very northern edge of the bubble and Sarquaa at the southern edge.
Jeff, am I right in how that would work?
Anyone have a reason Kal shouldn't do that?

I don't have an objection to the bubble being moved, but you also don't need to worry about Adamant. Adamant doesn't really need it.

I have to wait until next turn to take advantage of Streko's weal and woe. But I think I may do the action point thing and try to get two strikes in.

That's fine, Darren. The wall can't move, but I think I'm going to have to let it go to be able to use Inspiring Word on Adamant and get him some healing. Both are minor actions.

Quick q: I have two ongoing effects now, do I save seperately at the eot for those?
I won't get to post until tonight... sorry guys.

No worries, Dave.
Nope. In fact, he'll only take 5 ongoing damage, not 10, despite being hit with that condition twice. If they were different types of damage, each would apply separately, but more than one ongoing damage effect of the same type doesn't stack. A single saving throw is needed.
I...guess? As a move action, you can move the bubble 3 squares.

What I was asking, Jeff, was if by moving it three squares, I could encompass Sarquaa and not have Kal end up in the water. But it sounds like the answer is yes.
So I'm going to do that this round, so be aware of that with all of your current positions.... you may have to move slightly to adjust.
And once Sarquaa is in the bubble with us, he'll lose his +2 for aquatic, so that will help Adamant and Condign, too.

Jeff would Shorak have seen the enemy shaman go down in time for him to use that action point and attack Sarquaa? If so, I would like to modify my post with said attack. Also, stop using up my good rolls. I'm just whining, ignore it. ;D

Alas, no. The shaman went down on Belarin's attack, which came after Shorak's. You can only use an action point on your own turn.

That said, Joe: If you're cool with it, you can have Streko delay his action until after Shorak's. That'll give Shorak the opportunity to use Streko's power bonus for Shorak's next attack (or an action point if he still wants to use one).

For Jeff: 1) I forgot that, because I am sans shield, I have a two-handed grip on my broadsword. I should have added +1 to my damage inflicted during the last round. 2) If Kal can't get that air bubble around Condign and Adamant, can Condign still use Inspiring Word while underwater? Given he can't talk and all.

Another good question. Very technically, sure...but I'd rather you didn't. I just can't see that sort of thing working right. Yup, you can always slide yourself down the initiative order; you just can't slide up it!

Just a bit of a reminder to everyone.....
This fight may have been avoidable, which means there's a good possibility that there's another fight waiting for us at our destination. Don't everyone use up all of your daily powers if you don't have to. Now that the mage is out of the picture, the lesser sahuagin seem to be mostly occupied with each other, which leaves all of us against Sarquaa. Kal got lucky and just did a whole bunch of damage to him, but that also used up his best Daily power. We should hold some of the group's power in reserve, just in case....

Hell, I'm not going to use anything but At Will powers until this dice roller drought ends. If it ever does. I'll be going for miss number 6 next round.

Well, I feel you rolling pain, but I'd still use encounter powers. Saving some dailies makes sense but there's no issue burning the encounters...

Dave W., this threw me off a little: Are you declaring that Adamant will be using Marty's Blessing on Condign if he's attacked? I looked around and found no mention before this, unless I just missed it. I need to be sure about this. This sounded like a passive mention, so I wanted to check with you first.

Belarin is using the encounters, but he still has a daily remaining. It's a blast effect, so no point using it if we can't easily tell friend from foe.

Hey, Jeff....a correction and a question:
Correction - Kal's Chromatic Orb actually did poison damage, not acid damage. Not sure if it matters, but there it is.
Question - Is Sarquaa bloodied, yet? You usually say if someone is, and you haven't mentioned it for him, yet. If not, damn that guy has a lot of hit points. By my count, we've hit him for 105 points already.....

Jeff: We've pounded him over 100 points of damage and he's not bloodied yet. Does anyone really think we're going to get by without burning all of our dailies?
Surely you jest!

No, I'm with you now, Brian. I made that comment before Jeff put up his post, and then I did the math and saw how many points we hit him for and the fact that he wasn't bloodied and I started thinking...."oh crap."

Hey Jeff - how do you want to handle Shorak's next athletics check? I want to get him back into the bubble obviously, but whether or not he makes it will impact directly on his next choice of attack.
I do want to apologize for being so whiney about the dice roller. I tend to get really frustrated when I go into dice slumps. So, I'm just venting. I don't mean anything serious by it. ;D

It's cool, Dave. It's just dice. Whether the real deal or some digital incarnation of 'em, they're temperamental. No, this isn't ideal as rolling real dice...but it's all we've got for now.
As for Shorak's next turn....
Swimming is a move action, so for Shorak's move action, just roll an Athletics check for him. If you get a 10, you're fine, you can move normally except that it takes 2 squares of movement to go 1 in the water. If you roll under 10, then you just can't move for that move action.
But then you can use up a standard action to take a second move action to try again. Does that make sense?

Jeff, I was about to post, but then a thought occurred to me. Can Kal shift the bubble up? How far does the bubble extend below us? Basically what I'm asking is would it be possible to shift Sarquaa back into the bubble by moving it up and therefore make him fall to the ground?

He could, yes. The sphere isn't already partially below you, though. Think of it like a ball rolling on the sea floor. So you could move it up a square, 5 ft., but then you'd all be standing in the water. I'd say that you'd still have your heads in the air to breathe fine, but you'd still have to effectively swim around.
