Btw Jeff, you've got the best images. I'm guessing you're now the Silvermist.

Thanks, Dave. Do you mean the avatars I use? Quite a while back I decided I could alter my avatar accordingly to location to help the "mood." So I tend to pick regions/areas and divide them by day and night. I'm no expert at Photoshop, but I know enough to be able to put together these things, and I steal from all over the place.

So...healing surges aren't normally freebies for the taking. Every PC gets to use one on their own in a battle, it's called taking your Second Wind. And I don't think Tangat's done his Second Wind, so yeah, he can use another of Kal's surges.
Beyond that, they can be used with certain powers or skills.
Adamant's Lay on Hands, Streko's Healing Word, or Condign's Inspiring Word...these all allow the using of healing surges, whether you've used up your Second Wind or not.

Waitasecond... Belarin tosses off a comment about Kal's poor diplomacy, and now Kal is using ... reason?!? My concept of up and down is shattered! (Sha-do-bee) Ah, I see now -- female dwarf. Good post, Darren.

"So, mercenary, what did you want to discuss? Would you like to start with who your employer is?" Pardon the interjection, Darren, but the dwarf just pegged Trag as the guy who hired the mercenaries. The half-orc isn't happy that we embarrassed him in public.

Sure thing. And that's right up the Insight skill's alley (pun mostly intended). It's a secret roll, and I'll handle it and post results.

Oh man. Belarin's new rogue multi-class direction is definitely peaking through. Bad boy.

Well . . . she did just try to kill Kal and Tangat. That's not much of a trust builder. ;D

I'm getting ready to leave Cincinatti, so I won't be able to post until later this evening. Go ahead and drag Condign along with the rest of the group.

Yes, back home in the Demon Wastes he was known as Condign the "Cute" Conqueror. "You are like the buzzing of flies to him...!"Kal: I'm just trying to figure out what a "gun" is in Eberron, that Kal could have been referring to...

It's a term used in the Deneith enclaves. You, of course, wouldn't understand because you're an outsider.

Just a reminder, I leave tomorrow for the wildernesses of upper Michigan. I won't be able to post until Sunday night--though I will try to get a post in tomorrow morning before I leave. Try not to get into too many fights without me.

Okay, just so you know, OOC? What the group chooses to do is not going to be Syrdan's - and, by default - my - decision.
I personally don't like it when one player gets to dictate what everyone will be doing.
I'd rather discuss OOC, and then let the IC dialogue reflect what we've decided as players.

Sure, sure. I was just trying to be dramatic. I really don't have a good sense of how urgent it is that we find Lehranna and how good the lead we have is. As far as Kal, and myself, are concerned, I could go either way. Like I said, I've used up all of my Daily Powers, so if we get into another fight, I'm sticking to the basics. And we already agreed to a meeting in the morning, and I'm not sure how late it is now. I figure that at some point, despite being heroes, we'll need to sleep. Well, Adamant and Syrdan don't, but the rest of us do.

You guys do realize that the PCs already had dinner at the Eatery, right? Now you're having Dinner 2. How very Hobbitish of you. So unless there's any objections, the group will be heading out to look for the address Syrdan was given...

Just want to get the plan... When we get to onwood stre, Streko and Adamant stop and find a nice place to watch from (I have no idea why Belarin would choke at that ). Condign and Syrdan continue down the street, past #12 to find a vantage point further down. Belarin and Kal go visit the young woman. So where's Tangat? Do we have a signal or time limit before the watchers try to go in and recover the human corpses?

Jeff, sorry for not stating it explicitly in my last post, but Belarin is making a Perception check to see if there's anything in the room (e.g. notes, bloody footprints) that might contain clues. And... forget I said anything: Perception (1d20+2=8)

Are we really just in an alleyway? Is a map completely unnecessary? I'm with Darren on this one ... a map might be helpful for this.
