"No, none of the weapons or armor are of interest to me."
He goes over to the chest and removes the potions and pendant. "Who wants to carry a potion. I assume they are all healing of some kind. This pendant still needs to be addressed as well." Once those are doled out, he begins separating the larger value coins (gold and platinum) out of the chest to distribute amongst the party. If it looks like it won't weigh them down too much he'll add some silver to the mix as well.
He looks up when Llash-Tava makes the suggestion of sharing her sight to where a portal might be. "I would accept the sight. My familiarity with Stormreach should assist me in locating the cross-points you speak of."
He looks at the rest of the group. "Even if I can find the way back to the realm of the living, we now have 2 major threats out there. The warrior wraith and what is probably a newly rested yugoloth. Unless, Histra found some way to lead him to his doom. I'm pretty sure, if he hadn't flown out of range, I would have been able to finish him off." He smiles, "We should plan accordingly. If we come up against the nycaloth again we need to be sure that he never troubles us again." He looks up the stairs towards the exit. "Of course, the emissary is probably still waiting for us outside." He shrugs, knowing that he is stating the obvious.
He looks at Belarin. "And there is still the issue of finding Histra, or her finding us."
Getting an idea, Shorak pulls out the puzzle box and shows it to Llash-Tava. "Just out of curiosity. Have you ever seen anything like this? I found it under the ocean and still haven't figured out what it is."
Was writing this when Joe posted. I guess we can assume that Streko now has the three healing potions.

Belarin nods at Shorak's comment about Histra. The warlock himself hasn't said much about Histra since the group began its rest. "I have to take her at her word that she'll find us. There's not much of a choice," he says.
"I'll hold on to the pendant for now," he continues, "but - in case it's cursed - I won't wear it unless we're in dire straits. The last thing we need is for me to grow a tentacle out of my third eye." Then a thought strikes him. "Well, the pendant was in the chest, and not mixed together with all the dead remains...." he says. "So it seems less likely to be cursed. To Khyber with it. Perhaps it will help me find Histra."
He puts on the mithral or silver pendant with the emblem of the eye.

Streko makes his way to the chest and examines the potions he finds. He will place all the ones he thinks are safe into his haversack without opening them. Those he finds to be questionable, he will not touch. He won't take any of the coins, but examines them closesly to see if he sees or feels anything evil or sinister about them. He will avoid all the weapons and armor. The only potions are the three red alleged healing potions, indeed. So Streko will take all three? He looks up when Llash-Tava makes the suggestion of sharing her sight to where a portal might be. "I would accept the sight. My familiarity with Stormreach should assist me in locating the cross-points you speak of." Llash-Tava looks to the rest of the group. "Very well, if you are all agreed." Getting an idea, Shorak pulls out the puzzle box and shows it to Llash-Tava. "Just out of curiosity. Have you ever seen anything like this? I found it under the ocean and still haven't figured out what it is." The sphinx appears to squint, then shakes her head. "That looks curious indeed, but I would rather examine it with my own eyes before imparting anything. Bring it to me in Eberron and we will discuss it." He puts on the mithral or silver pendant with the emblem of the eye. Belarin feels nothing occur.

Kal nods at Shorak. "So be it. You have our faith and trust to guide us back home." Kal looks pointedly at Belarin. "But not without Histra."
In response to Condign, Kal says, "A mace? I think not. It's not really my style." He looks at his sharrash and the two longswords he carries. "I'm not even sure where I would put it."

"Yes, our most-excellent guide is the obvious choice for gaining these visions." Adamant concurs.
"Unless someone objects, I'll take this warhammer. It's vain I suppose but the flames appeal to me." He reaches down and picks up the weapon.
"I would very much wish to find Histra before we leave... preferably, arriving in the nick of time to save her from terrifying peril." Now that they are refreshed and it seems likely the group will be leaving Dolurrh soon, the lightness is returning to Adamant...

"Do I have that correct?" Belarin looks away, seemingly distracted. "There was... quite a lot going on then... inside and out," he says slowly. "But I don't believe she wanted us to leave Dolurrh without her. And I don't plan to."

"I do recall she instructed us to make for the lighthouse," Condign tells Belarin, then shrugs. "I, too, will not abandon her, for a reason other than the obvious--Branash. If we return without the lady, he will press his advantage and may make another attempt on your life." Condign smiles tightly. "I am not entirely opposed to him trying."

The warrior in the paladin immediately delights at the heft and weight of the warhammer. The scorched coloration of the metal, it turns out, isn't mere happenstance. The metal is that color. He also finds the warhammer is warm to the touch.
I've added the mace to Condign's inventory, the warhammer to Adamant's inventory, and the sovereign glue, universal solvent, and eye talisman to Belarin's. I known Condign's already got the splint mail accounted for. Brian, I see he's 10 lb. over his first tier weight allowance. Double check to make sure all is as it should be?

Condign is ten pounds over, unfortunately. Until the next opportunity to raise his ability scores and I bump his Strength up to 18, he'll be encumbered. Once we are back at the Inn--if we get back to the Inn--I'll see what I can do to shed some of the heavier items, provided we have an understanding of where we are going and what might be needed.

Belarin recalls Histra's last words more succinctly. She was more concerned with their survival than finding the sphinx's location from the start.

Streko comes up to Condign and opens his arms, then turns around, showing the open mouth of the haversack.
"Feel free to unload some of your burden into my haversack. Just don't forget to reclaim it. I sometimes can't recall what is in there. If only I made out a list I could consult from time to time. Of course, Olladra blesses me with some recall on occasion. As to Shorak gaining the sight, I cannot conceive of a better choice. Thank you , my lady, for the offer." _____________________________________________________

Seeing that everyone concurs with the idea of him taking on the responsibility of receiving the sight the Sphinx offers, Shorak nods in satisfaction. "Just a moment." He squats down and scoops up as many of the sorted coins as he can carry comfortably to fill his pouches. "Everyone take what you can carry. When we get back, we are going shopping. We don't want to be unprepared for the tasks that await us back in Xen'drik.
He walks over to Llash-Tava and bows his head respectfully. "I am ready."

You are truly noble." For now, he places his backpack, waterskin, the sunrods, and the everburning torch within the haversack. Not knowing what the mace can do, or if it is cursed, he keeps his sword at his side. After thanking Streko again, he will gather as much gold or platinum coins as he can comfortably carry and place them in the pouch on his belt. Finally, he approaches Belarin and gives the warlock a wry smile. "I am glad to see you almost back to your old self. I cannot understand the struggle you went through, but I do know this: power is one thing, obtaining it by sacrificing who you are is madness. Belarin Malizia is far more powerful as Belarin Malizia. Do not forget that. Besides, for the first time I feared I might have to fulfill my promise to you." He holds out his hand. "May I please have my hair braid back? Jyoti would be proud to know she might have played a part in saving the soul of a dear friend." __________________________________________ Once all the above is finished, Condign is ready to go.

I've listed Condign's handed-over items on Streko's sheet.
The coins in the chest are mixed silver and gold. No platinum. 50 coins weighs 1 pound. Tell how much each of you is willing to carry, then. And unless you take the time to count out all coins, what you'll get is a mix of both types of coins. When you later count it, then we'll see what the ratio is.

Kal begins to fill pouches, pockets, and packs with coins. Though he has not often wanted for anything in his life, he knows that wars are expensive and a good commander cannot overlook the opportunity to fund his army. He also pushes coins aside and sifts through the remainder to be certain there is nothing hidden at the bottom of the chest that may be of interest to them.
"There is still the matter of Histra to be discussed," Kal says when he is done with the coins. "Let us assume that she is unaware that we are here, or cannot easily gain access. We can hope, then, that when we leave here, she will be able to find us quickly. If she does not, I think we should make for the nearest portal back to Eberron and await her there. Until we can assess the situation outside these walls, I think that is as far as we can plan."

Condign works with Streko to place some of his gear within the extradimensional bag the halfling carries.
Kal rifles through the chest, collecting gold and silver, and when he has finished, he jingles somewhat with the coinage. No other objects are compartments are revealed in the search.
When Shorak steps before the glowing cloud of Llash-Tava, the sphinx’s visage fixes on him. When he meets her eyes, he finds himself easily picturing the rest of her regal form. He sees a headdress befitting a queen and even a gilded necklace, hair that flows down nearly to her forepaws, and for a moment his mind’s eye races across numerous landscapes of Xen’drik. It brings a sense of nostalgia to him, but quickly gives way to unfamiliarity as jungles fade into deserts and hills he’s never glimpsed. Columns of dark energy and columns of swirling color suddenly fill his imagination even as his vision returns to his present location. He knows, instinctively, that the columns of dark energy represent intersections with the Shadowfell, Dolurrh itself, while the columns of swirling color represent intersections to Thelanis, the Feywild. While the crossroads between these planes all exist on Eberron, Shorak can sense that there are no gateways to Thelanis from Dolurrh. Only on Eberron.
“When you go above, Shorak, you will spy the doorways back to our home plane as faint columns where true color defies the gray. Seek one of those. Understand that merely finding one does not necessarily grant you passage through it. Most can simply be crossed, but sometimes a key is needed. Such keys are usually close at hand...by design. You will understand this only when you see them.”
Shorak feels nothing more at this time, but when he turns to face his companions, they are surprised to find that his eyes now resemble a great cat’s. His iris’s are no longer the deep violet of his drow ancestry, but instead a luminous yellow-gold, while the pupils are more elliptical in shape. It gives his already exotic appearance a decidedly feral one.
Joe, I’m listing the three potions not in the haversack, just because retrieving one item in combat is a single free action, while retrieving something from the haversack is a regular action. Figured healing potions you’d want more readily available.

Adamant will take a few handfuls of coins and dump them in his backpack until they can return to their rooms. I could say it's a random amount of coins between 50 and 100... but I'll be polite and just say 50 for ease of play.
Adamant is ready to proceed.

He seems overcome with emotion for a few seconds, then he says, "Money, yes? We're dividing up the coins?" He takes a few handfuls of coins.
"I'll second Kal's suggestion," he says. "Histra will find us...if she's able to -- BY THE HOST, Shorak! Your eyes! What can you see with those, besides mice?"

Shorak makes sure his money pouches, secret pockets, etc. are secure with the 500 odd gold he has stowed away on his person. "Looking forward to see what we can spend these on." He says with a smile.
He faces Belarin. "I will be able to see the portals when they are in my line of sight." He looks back at the sphinx. "Thank you." Shorak says. "Well, I think I have an idea where to start looking. The ways may not be easily accessible, but I'll try to get us to the closest one and we'll see what we will see." Shorak heads to the foot of the stairs. "When everyone's ready."
I'm assuming the vision Shorak saw gave him a fair idea where to head in this shadow of Stromreach, yes?

Shorak can sense that three such portals exist in the main city proper, all of them westward with possibly one or two "fainter" ones more, but he'd need to go above to place them in his mental map.
When Shorak proceeds towards the stairs up, the sphinx speaks again.
"Thank you for finding me," Llash-Tava says from her radiant light-cloud. "I trust that I will see you soon. Then we may discuss what is to be done next. Remember, do not harm the human sage who dwells in the Lighthouse. I shall address his complicity myself. And as for Greshnaza, do what you must. Destroy her body utterly, if you are able. I have become fond of her in our time together. I would not see her bound to this place, or to her torment, any longer."
The medusa herself comes forward, hood still drawn low. "It will be difficult to keep from looking at me, yet dangerous if you do not—for my skill with a blade is greater than yours." She says this matter-of-factly in her hollow, yet still feminine voice. Understand that if I slay any of you, it is not a choice that I have. My body is now stricken with a hunger you cannot fathom. And any who dies at my touch will rise again; you had best consign them to flames."
"When I am freed," the sphinx adds with a sigh, "I will attempt to remedy any hurts. But I cannot, and would not, restore life."
Coinage has been accounted for in your inventories, encumbrance and all.
